Educator Roll Call

Beautiful Ohio evening after heavy, dense fog this morning. Our two hour delay turned into a cancellation. I love my 3 day weekends!

TGIF.... beer needed before posting grades this weekend... ugh.

Hope all are well and smiling at the end of the first big month.

Hi,
just found this thread i'm a maths teacher in a secondary school (11-18) in the UK, thought I would say hello

Kindergarten teacher here, and School-Age Early Childhood Educator from Canada :)

Just found this thread- Hello to all you brilliant, hardworking teachers :)

Only just the start of term of me, so not marking yet. Maybe I'll just give them all an A this year.

Great idea for a thread

I spent Fifteen years teaching secondary maths here in London, now work as an educational consultant....better pay but I miss the buzz sometimes.
Hats off to those entering the proffession and those still doing it!

I'm embarrassed to say that in my professional career, I did not have a lot of respect for teachers - the 9 month work year, the shorter days, etc. - I have since come to the realization that there are a LOT of extremely hard working teachers who are extremely dedicated and put in whatever hours are necessary.... well done teachers.... there are some who appreciate your efforts....

middle school here

Science in the middle school. Love it. Goofy kids and I laugh every day.

Love reading about how such (seemingly) strict professionals want to get a little unprofessional..

I was a teacher for 10 years. And I shall probably return to it.

As so many others say, if it could just be working with students in the classroom I would love it. It's never the kids - always the colleagues that are a problem.
