If you won 225 million, what would you do with the money?

I bought a lottery ticket this evening. Can't help but imagine what I'd do with the money.

That is easy.

Go to my parents
Sleep a long time
Meet Byron's dad and friends
Pay off medical stuff
Get more medical stuff figured out
Dental stuff
Get some boots and warm mittens
A Tempur-Pedic Mattress
Give away 10% to the usual suspects
Get my car some body work.
Ride some trains like the Flying Scotsman
Do a road trip-it's already mapped.
Do Al Stewart's entire UK tour this spring.
Maybe buy a house, a Victorian triplex. I have one picked out already ;)
Go see all my friends all over the world.
Maybe get a laptop and an ipod touch 5.
Start another company, I like doing that.

Mainly just normal stuff, plus seeing people and hearing Al Stewart a lot, maybe all his tour dates ;)

i have dreams.

very detailed dreams.

down to the last penny.

every space recorded.

but there is the need to dream in multiples.

in order to effect a change desired.

basic math is present.

a challenge like daily cardio is practiced.

elementary findings.

repeated.

over and over.

data drawn and dreamed.

planets, solar systems, voids and beyond.

letting dreamers dream and writers write.

making sure the babies are cared for and loved.

medical access to all.

a system of social work as copied by Sweden's tax books.

published in english.

maximized for total coverage and efficiency measured by holistic longevity.

Yes, you could still live well off the income from it even at 2% interest

I tell all of my friends who ask me what I'd do with lottery winnings that I'd be more than comfortable limiting myself to 2x the current income of my wife and I. We're already used to a certain lifestyle. So doubling our current income would make it that much easier. Any monies beyond that could be used for improving our community.

If I win, I'll share and you'll have a great road trip.

Pay taxes.

This....and yea after I gave teh man his chunk.

I would do some things here and there personal spending wise but I don't think I would spend much more than a couple of cool guy toys/home improvements worth, but it wouldn't be more than a 500k spending spree. Might buy my neighbors lot and bulldoze his shit and plant some trees. So maybe a 1.5 million liquid injection for over the top living it up? Ok...

Then I would donate a half of what is left over to the California Academy of Sciences and the other half to the Humboldt botanical gardens. So I didn't feel like such a dildo for spending 130k on a car, then blowing another 100k to make it run 2400AWHP ........on the street for the soul purpose of spanking some UGR lambos.

I used to think I would want to go on a trip to outer space. Then I grew to realize that the hassles of zero gravity outweigh the benefits. It isn't worth it just for the scenery.

Same thing happened with skydiving, which I have done. Yes, the view was spectacular and the fall exhilarating, but I got a barometric headache that worsened on the way up and an ache on the other end after landing.

I used to give 10% of my income every year, I would like to be in that position again.
