I am currently making my second submission to this site, and I am having a little difficulty determining where it belongs. It deals with demons and such, but there is also elements of magic (not just so and so person accidentally reading a book, legit mages). So I am really not sure if it would fit in the Nonhuman category, or Sci-fi/Fantasy. I am sure each are an equally valid choice, but if there is some other unspoken rule in the submissions to these areas I would like to find out now before I do something wrong.

Sounds like you can pick the one you like the best, and put the other name in one of the tags. Personally I would probably choose Non-Human - they have most of the demony stuff. About unspoken rules - sorry, we never speak about those.

Btw. you should make a link to your story-page in your tag-line. That makes it a lot easier for people who see you in the forums and want to check out your stories.

:)

Depending on how "demonic" your demons are and what they are doing, Erotic Horror could also be an option.

But keep in mind that EH is a tougher voted category, they know what they like and want it.

NH rarely sees anything less than a 4/5 and glowing praise. Sci fi is not quite as effusive, but are generally softer voters than EH

So your ego may factor in as well.

Is it based in a 'normal' human world, but with fantastical characters , or have you created a world?

If it's a human world, I would make it NH.

If you've created a world, it's definitely SF&F.

This---^

The exception I always use is if it's a human world with fantastic creatures, but said creatures aren't involved in the sexual part of the tale. Then I go Sci-Fi.

Or, as in the case of my Magic of the Wood series, the fantastic creatures ( half dryads ) are virtually indistinguishable from humans in appearance. Again, Sci-Fi.

Exactly how do I do this without it looking like a url? Also thank you everyone for the help.

If you want to make a simpel link, like....

DarkestLore's Demonic Stories

... just put something like the following (minus the $-sign) into your signature field (click User CP and select Edit Signature)...

[$URL="http://www.literotica.com/stories/memberpage.php?uid=2128883&page=submissions"]DarkestLore's Demonic Stories[/URL]

Of course you can make it way more elaborate if you so choose. And you're welcome :)

Yep. The very soft, flexible and general guidelines are:

~If the magical creature is in our world and mysterious rather than scary: Non-Human
~If the magical creatures and the story take place in a whole different fantasy world: Fantasy/Sci-fi
~If the magical creatures are part of a scary, horrific or vampiric sort of sex tale: Erotic Horror

Well that makes sense, now all I have to do is buckle down and actually finish the thing.
