You know, the thing about KRC and what makes him something of a shoe-in for 1st place wasn't just the gender-bending, and it wasn't the relentless, hounding snark. What really gets him in here is the spectacularly creepy way that he brought the troll into real life, and that he then kept playfully (??) teasing his real life victim in a very sexualized way on the boards whenever he talked to her ("whore", "cocksucker" etc. etc.). All while keeping the whole truth from her and from everybody else. That's the uncomfortable and sinister bit.

You're right about that. One of the alternatives (a swinging wife, KRC, knew from the get go) is a little less convoluted, though still lousy with loose ends.
 
was cade really a troll? i mean, i guess he tried to be, but... i mean he was super bad at it. mostly he just came off as a fucking dipshit. all he had was incredibly obvious alts and racism. his ineptitude is the only thing that really set him apart at all.

You could definitely say that he was a form of troll. But he put a lot of deliberate, invested energy and time into his racist agenda'd fuckery, way more than a typical troll, who is more of an indifferent in-and-out sort of entity, would bother to do.

and he put a lot of energy in pretending he wasn't racist even though everyone knew he was. honestly it was his most amusing aspect. he clearly thought we were all very, very stupid for some reason.

KRC had me fooled. The only time I became suspicious was when he/she posted a clip of her showing panic over the welfare of her dog. That was way out of character for the alleged badass chick.

KRC had me fooled too. The story about being sexually harrased in Kuwait by her C.O. in the Marines seemed authentic.

More realistic than "Karen" Kraft's frat house gang rape story, in any event.
