BRITAIN: British jihadists should be stripped of citizenship says top police officer.
British jihadists fighting abroad should be stripped of their citizenship and banned from returning home, the country’s most senior police officer has said.
Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe, the Metropolitan Police Commissioner, also vowed tougher action against preachers of hate and other extremists who take to the streets to air their air their rants.
The senior officer became the latest senior figure to call for a change in the law to combat the threat of home grown Islamist fanatics.
He also backed Boris Johnson’s demands for those returning from Syria or Iraq to be presumed as terrorists unless they can prove their innocence.

OSLO – For the first time in the capital city’s history, Mohammed is the common name for boys and men, said a study on Thursday.
Statistics Norway (Statistisk Sentralbyrå – SSB) has counted the population of Oslo and found that Mohammed is the most common male name in Oslo for the first time ever.
Jørgen Ouren of SSB said to NRK: “It is very exciting.”
Altogether 4,801 boys and men are named Mohammed or variations of Mohammed as their first name, and Mohammed has thereby passed both Jan (4,667) and Per (4,155).
The name has spent four years in a row at the top of the list of baby names in Oslo, but this is the first time that Mohammed tops the men’s name list for Oslo.

A British mother-of-two who once fronted an all-girl rock band is believed to have made it to Syria where she is threatening to behead Christians with a blunt knife.
Investigations have revealed the real name of a Muslim convert who calls herself Umm Hussain al-Britani may be Sally Jones, from Chatham in Kent.
Umm Hussain has previously claimed she married British computer hacker-turned jihadi Junaid Hussain after an online romance before the pair travelled separately to Syria to join the Islamic State.
He has since become a potential suspect in the beheading of the American journalist James Foley.
On August 10 Umm Hussain tweeted that she had made it to the ‘Caliphate’ with her husband after being stuck in Idlib, north-western Syria, for seven months.
Umm Hussain later indicated she was in the IS stronghold of Raqqa.
In messages that have since been deleted, she warned: ‘You Christians all need beheading with a nice blunt knife and stuck on the railings at raqqa … Come here I’ll do it for you!’

Are the Brits naive enough to think this will work? Saudi Arabia had a program like this, several of those who completed it went on to found al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula.

Britain’s governing coalition has agreed that potential Jihadis who return to Britain from abroad should be forced to undergo a de-radicalisation programme when they arrive back in the UK.
The proposal is one of a series of measures agreed by the Conservative Party and the Liberal Democrats who form Britain’s coalition government.
Also proposed is a new law to force airlines to share full passenger lists with police and security agencies, and plans to temporarily suspend to passports of UK citizens fighting for ISIS, preventing them from coming home.
According to the Sun, talks over the measures were “tense” and going on well into the night last night, ahead of the Prime Minister’s emergency statement in the House of Commons this afternoon.
