But for everything else in the past, what you typically posted and the type of threads you posted in were pretty consistent since your start gate. Nobody forced you to be a political cut & paste wonk on here and those were the threads you sequestered yourself into on a daily basis. Hey, that was your fun.

So seeing you be in threads that are totally out of your typical range such as this one, is not jumping to conclusions. I'm willing to bet nobody here even knew you had been married until now. Any negatives on this part, for us not seeing the person or man behind the ostrich head, you gonna have to own up to yourself.

There are 1,342 members with 10,000 posts.

SvedishChef has exactly 10,000. Kitty should come back and make one post, she has 9,999.

Anyway, I thought I'd just peruse the list and see how common "Hall worthy" posters under 10k were. I was surprised at some of the people who are under that number. Patient1. Sigh. Plasmaball. Peachykeen. Katiebarthedoor. Vilac. Pabloback. Jailhouse. Lots of people who are at least worth consideration.

So, maybe the 10k rule should go.

If I recall correctly, she, Doll Parts, and Liza Fairy (who was somebody's alt) all posted in the same period. Sometimes the GB read like one long blackboard screech.

How about either 10,000 posts, or 1000 for every year since they registered? That would give credit both to relative newcomers who have made their mark in a short time like Phelia, and old school members who never posted all that much but similarly made an impact.

Exactly. I had hoped to find the sweet spot with the Hall, the right point where people take it sort of seriously, but not too much.

When I made the original nominations, I tried to be objective and choose ten people who I thought represented different aspects of the GB.

I nominated Ish, and I don't agree with him about much of anything. Why should one have to agree with a person to recognize that they have been an important part of this place for a long time?

Whether or not their are shenanigans going on with his votes, I don't really know. It does look damn odd, it's true. He has already gotten more votes than he got all of last week. Maybe someone has a whole crate full of avs to vote with. There's nothing to be done about that, except point out that the person who does it will know that the result of their work is illegitimate.

It's easy, just make it public. That's one of the factors that played into a large body of VBM's alt family being exposed, actually.
