When are we going to get a notification system?

I love reading the stories and what not on this site, even random stories. This is how one can find new authors that are worth reading. However, the fact that I don't have a way to be notified when an author posts a new story is extremely frustrating. Even when I favorite an author or story I won't be notified when a new story or chapter posts. What is the point of clicking favorite anymore? Most people probably just use direct bookmarks defeating the system of letting authors know people love their work.

There are so many new stories posted here every day it is getting extremely difficult to track things...

Do they not read stories on the site? I'm not an author just a guy who wishes literotica had some motivation to push this type of update to the top of the list. it would bring people back to the site happy not pissed off when the stories they thought would be updated haven't been.

According to legend the favorite system is supposed to evolve into that. As is stands all it does is push popular writers to the top so they get more reads which is nice but not what we want or need. Go bug Laurel and Manu.

As the number of readers and writers who visit Lit every day continues to grow, we need to have everything setup properly before we can rollout complex features. I know it seems to take a long time for updates, but our top priority has been keeping the site stable and fast during a period of growth.

We have a lot of features - almost all of which were created based on member feedback - in various stages of completion. I hope to be able to show you some of them very soon - at least in BETA.

Hey Manu! Thank you for this update! Awesome announcement! I think I speak for almost all of us when I say that we have a very keen interest in the "backend." Please keep us "apprised" of any "up""dates." And also, "Laurel is a wonderful treasure." More of that, please.
