Bishop Larry Brandon of the "One Voice Clergy Network" wants everyone to boycott the show. He calls it a gross and degrading depiction of Jesus Christ. "Our Jesus is not a dope pusher. Our Jesus is not an alcoholic. Our Jesus is not riotist and unruly," said Brandon.

Brandon is also against the message is sends. "To look at and depict the African American community as a bunch of dumb people out of 'humor', I'm against it," said Brandon.

I think there's a good chance the answer is yes. The Shroud of Turin and the Sudarium of Oviedo are fairly good evidence, in my opinion. There will never be proof, I don't think.

When the hoaxers made the shroud we already had a culture established that had Jesus looking like Borgia; so they played off that to gain popularity. If they had done cannon Jesus rather than fandom Jesus, they wouldn't have had as successful of a hoax.
