The Border, Obama's Waterloo

Well, that settles it. He's only a two-term President.

DAMMIT!!!

How are the Dems gonna EVER recover face if he doesn't get that third term? The Pubs have said all along that their main goal is to keep Obama to two terms.

Looks like they just might accomplish that, thanks to the immigration issue being his Bay of Pigs, his Gallipoli, his Hamburger Hill, his Battle of Thermopylae, his Little Big Horn, his Battle of Sekigahara, his...

You are obviously too ignorant to understand the American people are driving the actions of the House, they are against the President's flim flam border policy. A recent poll out yesterday stated that Republican voters considered House resistance to Obama's border policy to be more important than all other issues.

But, Republican voters are a minority of American voters.

Who elected a majority in the House, and who's positions against Obama policy is supported my majorities of Americans.

It's a partisan divide.

The new poll found 53% of Americans believe the United States has no moral obligation to offer asylum to people who escape violence or political persecution, while 44% believe it has that responsibility.

And more than half, 52%, say children who say they are fleeing gang violence in Central America should not be treated as refugees, while 46% say they should.

The responses expose a partisan rift, with 70% of Republicans saying Central American children should not be treated as refugees compared with 62% of Democrats who believe they should. On whether the United States has an obligation to accept people fleeing violence or political persecution, 66% of Republicans say it does not and 57% of Democrats say it does.

But, Republican voters are a minority of American voters.

Without Obama on the ticket, the Democrats that vote drops dramatically. Add to that the typical mid term election no-show from the large low-information, low motivation portion of the Democratic Party that Carville loves so much....and it should be another slaughter.

[shrug] I was not making any prediction for midterm results, merely pointing out that in the national aggregate, registered Dems outnumber registered Pubs.

Hey, The Vetteman: how 'bout those Republican hack buddies of yours...

...today voting Homeland Security an additional $700 million to...wait for it...secure the border.

Too friggin' funny.

Yeah, but Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck don't show up to vote in midterms...

;) ;) :D

... the Dallas O-line tends not to vote in St. Louie.

Mm-Mm, That's what I'm talkin' 'bout!

That's what I voted for!
6 TIMES!

BTW, if Obama wants to use an executive order to avoid deporting immigrants, legally, he gets to do that.

With Obama administration officials debating how aggressively to use unilateral action to shield people from deportations, more than 100 immigration law professors have signed a letter to the President arguing that he has expansive legal authority to act to temporarily protect additional groups from removal — and that this authority is rooted in statute, court opinion, regulations, and precedent.

So, if this bullshit were to be within his legal authority and constitutional, why is Obama delaying this action until after the election? He himself says he wants to wait until his executive action is "sustainable." He knows he's exceeding his authority under the law. He fears the American people. He never has the "prosecutorial discretion" to fail "to see that the laws are faithfully executed."

Obama is a lawless insult to America. He constantly rails against Congress for its "failure to act." He's too stupid to know that when Congress fails to act for political reasons, it is in fact "acting." It is transmitting the will of the American people that his agenda is unacceptable, unworthy of further action. The President needs to understand that he isn't a King. Congress is doing the job it was elected to do.

It's 75° and sunny at your house. LEAVE THE BUNKER AND GO THE FUCK OUTSIDE.

It's nothing to do with legality, it's politics. Tough shit.
