a couple goes on a winter holiday over new year's. new years eve of course is a huge party. The next morning, the couple wake up nude on the beach.

is the story then them remembering what they did the night before? or do they watch others having morning sex & then get involved?

what if it is family rather than a couple?

I like the idea of the couple with no memory. For the rest of the story, people are winking at them, giving them high-fives and thumbs up, and it takes them quite awhile to piece together what went on.

First of all, "sorry" for bumping this up. I remembered this story idea (as it has been in my mind for a while and recently I began looking at my own notes regarding it) and was trying in vain to find it again. Thank you, Sirhugs, for your help!

I love the title as is (sometimes a thread's title doesn't sound good as a story title), and love Carney's added idea of various people giving innuendo of what happened the night before, thumbs up, etc.

So, I see the story going on with small details slowly coming back to the couple, maybe "flashbacks" of the party, sexual activity, etc.

Now that this story idea has re-entered my mind and interest, I would love to see if anyone else has more details/ideas to add. :) After all, any of you may think of something I never had. Also, someone else may be inspired to try their take on this story too!

What say you? :) Let's brainstorm again!

They presumably take their winter holiday in a warm southern clime, yes? Waking up nude on the beach on Martha's Vineyard in 1 January might be... well, they might not wake up, just corpsicles in the sand.

I recall a related idea, where a New Year's partygiver finds a naked couple asleep in his closet some time after the festivities. I'm not sure how many days they were supposed to have slept.

What's with these wild NYE parties? How come *I* was never invited? Y'know, the ones so wild that they can't be remembered? Hmmm, maybe I *was* at one of those, but just don't recall it now. That's possible.

OK, the story: The couple wake up naked on the sand at Black's Beach (San Diego nude beach) or Waikiki or Key West or wherever. Various objects are scattered around them: poppers, condoms and wrappers, roaches, booze bottles, undergarments (not theirs), sex toys, weapons, empty cartridges, sand clotted by unknown liquids of various colors, credit cards (not theirs), small dead animals, shards of plastic, nylon rope, etc.

The couple has to figure out 1) who they are, 2) where they are, 3) how they got there, 4) just what happened, 5) how much of the nearby debris relates to their experience -- is the stuff real, or was it planted, and if so, then by whom; and 6) what the fuck should they do now? Walking naked will surely attract attention, and they probably don't want to encounter nosy cops.

So, what to do? Where to go? How to get there?

This might be an interesting story to write. Not soon, alas, not by me.

Your scenario is taking the "memory loss" farther than the OP's intent, I think. The original premise was not complete amnesia, just an inability to remember the night before.

Either story would be interesting to read, the complete amnesia version or the temporary blackout version.

I didn't think I was suggesting total amnesia, maybe just a wipeout of the prior 24 hours, and awakening with very foggy minds. They vaguely know who they are (but there's no ID nearby). They vaguely know where they are (unless they've been transported whilst unconscious). Everything else is a mystery. Where are their lodgings, their car, their personal possessions, their very clothes and IDs? Were they setup for this situation?

And then, priorities - what do they do first? Look around for familiarities whilst trying to retrieve their memories? Or hide from public view and the menacing sun (they're naked, remember)? Or seek help? Lots of drama-comedy-tragedy possible there.

I like Carnevil's idea of people reacting when they see them.
I also like the idea of at least some memory loss.
I don't care too much for the trash left behind. Maybe a few things that are useful at the moment, play a part (clue?) later in the story.

I prefer a nudist resort for the setting. Walking into the hotel nude is not that big a deal, but will still turn heads perving the naked bodies.

One of the items closest to them when they wake up is a hotel key card. It has a room number written on it. Both the guy and the lady agree, they'd never write their room number on the key card. But they decide to check out the room anyway.

In the lobby, there's a bit of a crowd to the side. A cop is talking to a few people, but the couple decides to avoid it and hurry to the elevator. In the room, they check around. There's nothing with a name on it, but the woman is convinced its their room because her clothes fit. The guy isn't so sure. She takes a shower. Before she finishes, the guy joins her. Shower sex.

They're hungry, the restaurant requires butts (and the front) to be covered. She puts on panties and shorts, he opts for a pair of slightly damp swim trunks that a little too big. The draw string helps keep them up.

They get a few weird looks on the way to the restaurant. They charge the meal to the room and enjoy the time together.

More sex that night. The maid walks in in the morning, surprised to find them there. She apologizes thinking he had left.

They walk the beach the next morning and again have sex. Perhaps they find a few clues as to what happened that night. They ask a few people that incredulously ask, "you mean you don't remember?!?"

Eventually, after living as a couple for a couple of days, they discover that the cop was talking to the woman's husband and the guy's wife. They had left the resort while the cop half-hearted looked for their spouses. He was sure the woman and guy took off together. Especially when a few people that were at the beach that night described to him what our protagonists had done on the beach.

Just a few pervy thoughts.

So...you have read my story titled "About Last Night"? ;)

<great story idea>

GOOD pervy thoughts! Then, the couples must decide where their future paths lead. The old switcheroo? Mutual swaps? Anger, revenge, danger? Reconciliation, continuation? Excuses for ever-growing fuckfests? Are many possibilities.
