...is impeach Obama, or say a single word about it. But they are really good at fucking up a sure thing. If they shut the hell up about impeachment, they are almost guaranteed to win the Senate and increase their majority in the House. The six-year itch will work for them, if they just let it.

The reason Obama and the Democrats keep talking about impeachment is it's good for fundraising, of course, but they also remember what happened after the Republicans impeached Clinton. The only time the six year itch didn't work, to my knowledge.

Two words that should steel their resolve:

President Biden.

True. And also these facts I've looked up:

Who said impeachment? The conservatives who wanted to impeach Obama are acting like it was never their idea.

The simple fact of the matter is the entire impeachment nontroversy was originally an attempt to placate the foaming-at-the-mouth #ImpeachTehNegar wingnuts like Vetteman. It has backfired spectacularly for Republicans, as Americans recall the time wingnuts railroaded President Clinton.

Why are we talking about this again?

Better start "But...But...Benghazi" thread #89 to distract the masses.

Or maybe "Fast 'n Furious" thread #62 just for old times sake.

Or you could do "oh NOE! IRSgate!" thread #37 a week early

The best thing the Republicans can do on those things is nothing between now and November. There's always next year.

Because it's in the news constantly, and apparently some Republicans don't realize it's quicksand they should avoid at all costs. Fair warning.

I really do not care what Republicans want to do.

The leadership may really suck at budgets, but they can count votes...

;)

The lawsuit is the most that they can bring themselves to do and, all-in-all, it seems to be a reasonable approach. There has been a lot of luck on overreach in the courts when it comes to the President. It seems to mainly be the talk of frustration in the rank and file with their own leadership's inability to properly message to the public at large the arrogant malfeasance that is clearly on display with this administration in its infantile view of what the President is supposed to be and what Congress is supposed to simply rubber-stamp for him. That is why he is so deferential to Putin: pure admiration and covetousness...

Let KO and the LW circle-jerk look the fools with endless threads on Impeachment.

Run silent, run deep. ;)

The best course of action is to leave Obama alone till after the election, then sit on him till 2016.

I'd play full-court press.

;)

He is prone to getting flustered and turning the ball over. Then he screams at the ref and the fans...

That would be the intelligent thing for the Republicans to do.

Sure. There are plenty of ways to fuck him that Americans cant care less about. Like foreign aid and the United Nations and funding Moochelles food police etc.

When you have the lead, you hold the ball.

No, that only allows the other team to catch up.

Do you not participate in March Madness?

;) ;)

The purple Republicans (I love you, you love me) need to nationalize the election which is why the lawsuit is well timed as was the incursions by Hamas and Vlad.

There's election gold to be had out there and you need to keep highlighting the one happily pursuing his leisure interests. He'll get frustrated and pop off with something that just kills the local Dems in contested districts. He's not as slick as his press tries to present him. He can be a loose cannon loosed upon his own ranks.

The American electorate develops a six year itch and all the out party has to do is stand back and let it happen. When they do something like impeaching the president, people rally to the president and his party. Politics 101.

I got twenty bucks that says that Mr. Plagiarism is your ticket next time around.

I disagree with the lawsuit to which you're referring. The timing, anyway. It's politically stupid.
