in my pre computer days used to love jerking off with some porn mags always used to make a tribute to my favorite pics. Plenty of stuck pages in my collection. Also used to steal my fathers porn and add some decoration

At one point, I used to buy porn magazines to have with me at work. I'd sneak them into the bathroom during the day to stroke and cum. This lasted for a few years and then I changed jobs. A few years back my wife and I attended a Halloween party as Hef and Holly. At that time, Playboy was doing some sort of promotional where you could buy one of their magazines for a buck. So I bought three copies (the first time in a decade or more) and handed them out to some of the single guys when we arrived. The magazines were all sealed in plastic and much to my surprise, no one dared open them at the time, (I guess it wasn't that surprising - it wasn't that kind of party) but I'm sure they opened them once they got home.

To the OP ... I wouldn't think that many people would still but porn magazines any more. With the plethora of porn on the internet (movies and photographs) and smartphones, you can have damn near anything with a few clicks no matter where ever you are.

I don't see a need anymore, the Internet currently has all the visual and literary stimulation I could ever ask for when a lover is not around. However, in the past my favorite was Penthouse Letters, I always preferred stories to pictures and yes I remember those magazines you mention
