So I've had this idea for a while, but can't really think of any story I'd be able to use it in, so I'm leaving it here, free to a good home.

Anyways, the idea is basically this. There's one shy, inhibited girl. Prim, proper, prudish, never even wears a bikini. But she has a double, either a twin or a doppelganger of some sort, or maybe even a mischievous shapeshifter. Her double is a total exhibitionist or just totally uninhibited, and thinks nothing of sunbathing topless or skinny dipping or just walking around nude in mixed company, and she finds it extremely embarrassing for everyone to know *exactly* how she looks naked, just because of her brazen body-double.

Any thoughts? I'm not really certain what to do with it, as I said, so anyone feel free to do whatever you want with it.

It's a cute concept, I think it's problem lies in the set up for the pay off.

What you describe is part of a background, not a story concept. What are some plot points? Girl has an embarrassing double; so what? And from whence came the double? Different origins can lead to different types of tales:

* She's a mystical-demonic double. Dealing with her requires magic, and maybe unicorns.
* She's a lost twin, mischievous but not malevolent. The two eventually become friends/lovers.
* She's an evil twin, brought up wrong, out to destroy. Girl must transform to overcome her.
* She's an alien shape-shifter, here to test humanity. Girl needs help from mad scientist.
* She's a total unknown -- she's just THERE. Girl never learns origin or motives. Frustration.
* She's a spook from an unknown agency, there to discombobulate Girl for nefarious reasons.
* She's a temporal twin (or clone), beamed from the future to help Girl gain enlightenment.
* She popped in from an alternate universe. Others follow. Soon, Girl is mobbed with clones.
* She's imaginary. Girl is suffering from hallucinations that eventually tip her from prim to slut.

Those are a few possibilities.

Anyway, those are only reiterations of old tropes in genre literatures. There are probably a zillion other tropes that would fit. I'm just too lazy to look them up.

Only he was accidentally split during the transport; one copy of him went back to the ship, and another identical copy was left on the station. Both thought they were the only one. Now, this wasn't in the episode, but what if the left-behind Riker, starved for human companionship and entertainment, watched year after year of high-tech space porn from the space station's archives, and turned into a total sex maniac. Of course, there was nobody there to have sex with, so he was also a totally frustrated sex maniac. Now that he's back with Starfleet, he turns into a total libertine horndog. Only everyone thinks it's the regular Riker, totally destroying his reputation, and he doesn't know why.

Hilarity (as someone I know likes to say) ensues.

What about it just being one girl who is normally innocent, sweet, lilly-like but something takes over her from time to time making her go WILD. But its only for like 24 hours, and then she returns to normal?!?

Hmmmm, with some Vaseline and a shoe horn, this may just fit a story profile I have been trying to create for a while.

I read a cute mistaken identify story on Smashwords. Roommates have similar bodies and hair, roomie #1 fancies roomie #2's boyfriend but is nice about instead of being slutty. Roomie #1 gets called to work unexpectedly leaving #2 alone in the apartment.
There's a storm, lights go out, #2 hears a noise and goes to investigate (see where this is going yet?). She is grabbed, gagged and bound by a masked attacker who throws her on the bed and starts feeling her up. She fights for her life and he whispers "Jesus #1, don't make it too real". #2 realises its the boyfriend doing a role-play, initially tries to alert him to the mistaken identify and then and lies back to enjoy the ride.

I love the mistaken identify, rape->reluctant->do me progression but there was plenty that I thought was lacking in the story. I wanted to try it myself without stealing the plot. The slutty and prim dopplegangers could maybe do it.

Dopplegangers are both in a club but not aware of each other's presence - they would have to be in the same outfit for this to work - I haven't worked that bit out. Prim&Shy gets approached by a hot guy but doesn't know what to do and turns him away. Hot&Slutty sees him and makes some moves, brushes her breast across his chest and touches his cock before disappearing. He finds Prim&Shy again, she is super wet for him but panics at his renewed vigor and lewdness and turns him away again. Hot&Slutty finds him, dances with him and gives him some rape-fantasy dirty talk about how she want him to take her while she strokes him to a blue-balled near-orgasm. She gives his cock one last squeeze and then walks with a wink and a wave over her shoulder. Prim&Shy left 30sec earlier and turned West, Hot&Slutty turns east and then around the corner. Why stop at just one schizo? Posit identical twins. Each has three rotating personalities, not identical, but exhibiting the same psychological troika of id (desire), super-ego (restraint), and ego (mediation). Ana and Aria may or may not both be up, or down, or centered, or transitioning, at the same time. The pair's instinctive id and super-ego personas astound, provoke, and disgust each other when the rational ego personas aren't active. And no onlookers can tell which twin is who, or is in which state, at any given time, not unless they know them very, very well. Only Momma knows for sure.

Sure, it's psychological bullshit, but it can be a good story framework.

EDIT: Let's assign names. Ana is the rational ego-persona; Nancy is the id-Ana and Alice is the super-ego-Ana. Aria is the ego-state; Rosa is the id-Aria and Isabel is the super-ego-Aria. Simple, eh? Each is a distinct personality. They argue with themselves and each other. Hilarity ensues.

Well keeping with the doppleganger motif; a doppleganger is an unhuman spirit- very nasty thing, that tries to take over the life of whomever it's victim is, which is normally by trying to kill them, and frequenting where they know they go. They are corporeal, so maybe this thing is trying to ruin and take over her life, doing sexual things, until she opens up and pulls the stick oit of her ass, not giving it a chance to attack by jumping the gun when she can, eventually vanquishing it.
