I heard "dark" and "twisted" and "knifeplay" in this thread last night and nearly broke something in my race to get to the story because boy howdy are those kinks of mine. I was all over the unwelcome power struggle and the psychological thriller elements. Then I got halfway into the flashback and had to stop reading. Not the author's fault! I have a true love squick. Nevertheless, I rated it 5 stars for the outstanding buildup of dread in the beginning and the integrity of the POV voice.

For what it's worth, I'd put it in Non-Erotic.

There, I fixed that for you. Your "green E" obviously was written in disappearing ink as anyone who checks can see. It's about as real and honest as the rest of you. Great to see how much having one would mean to you, though.

I don't think they are looking for anything like anything that story is like.

"A Mile" isn't my story, it's AMB's, though I'd get him drunk and steal it out of his pocket if I had the chance. I think it needs to go to the category where the most people will read it and appreciate it, whether they vote on it or not.

I'm glad you liked the writing. And I completely understand. As I said, I actually really like non-con, this was just a different kind of story. If you're interested, I do have a story that sort of fits the bill, though I am rather embarrassed to bring it up. It was my first story on this site, and I didn't take it seriously enough and it suffers from novice errors. It is, however, a dark, twisted downpour with no rainbow in sight. It's called "A Study in Scarlett" and it is an over-the-top mind-fuck about infidelity and worse. Though, the "victim" in that case is a man.

So stop chasing votes with stories that are excellent but really don't belong here if mediocre readers are important to you. Just take your best stab at a category or delete it. To declare like this would back up what he whines about incessantly and why he's turned voting and comments off on his JAMESBJOHNSON stories--that they are being heavily trolled for reasons other than content.
