Alright, just looking for a chick who games. I'll list my usernames and you can add me if you'd like to play.

Xbox One (Titanfall) - PhoenixDown2012
PC (Titanfall or Battlefield 4) - ChristopherRPh
Playstation 3 or 4 - Chris_PharmD
Steam - ChrisPharmD
League of Legends - Christtopher
SMITE - ChristopherRPh
Diablo 3 - ChristopherRPh

Right now, I'm playing Watchdogs mostly but I wreck at Titanfall. I'm alright at Battlefield. I don't play CoD, but I do have it for PS4/PC if you must play it. No MMOs at the moment. I'm waiting for a really good one to come out.

No Nintendo stuff.

Anyway, just let me know who you are when you add me so I'm not all like "da fuq?" Thanks.

I am a gaming "chick" but I play a MMO.
You shouldnt have a lot of trouble finding someone in LoL I would say.
There is quite a long thread about gaming here somewhere maybe you should look it up.

I played FFXIV for about six months. I loved it so much that I still have fabric posters on the wall (and I'm not a person who does posters haha). I maxed out my Paladin with legendary equipment and then some crap went down with my friends and I stopped playing. Soon after, I played WoW for six months, loved it, but I just lost interest. WoW was WAY easier but PvP was so fun compared to FFXIV.

So then Titanfall came out and my friends all bought modded Scuf Gaming controllers (MLG legal). We pretty much destroyed everybody. But that got boring too.

LoL and other MOBAs are my biggest weakness. I just suck at them for whatever reason. I only usually play if I'm with a friend but that's even rare. I love watching the League Championship Series though

Let me know when the rebuild of WoW comes out and I'll be glad to play. :)

I dont follow what WoW does since I dont play it. WoW is not the only MMO you know.
I play TSW.

Hmmm.... Does it use the Holy Trinity for combat?

Somewhat. There are no classes so you can switch at will, granted you have gear to cover up for different roles.
If you mean like WoW, no, it is nothing like WoW. Much harder game in first place.

I remember reading about TSW when it first came out. Do you like it?

Would I be playing it if I didnt?
I came over from Tera and didnt regret yet.

Well I'm very well-suited to a difficult MMO. Afterall, I did spend months and months getting Curtana + 1 and Holy Shield + 1 in Final Fantasy 14. It was absolute hell at the time when the game first launched. It's probably easier now that a lot of players can carry you through the boss (Primal) fights.

I'll check out TSW. I see it's on Steam and there's a bundle for $60.

The game is $30. I dont know now what is in your Steam bundle but not everything is worth buying in bundles. There is a lot of starter stuff sometimes you dont really need, the beginner zone is easy enough if you are just a bit smart with setting your deck up.

Personally, I would buy the cheapest option and then see what extras I may want after I get into a game a bit.
I just got sub and I am in the middle game right now, did fine without it or any extras so far.

And btw hard =/= grind. Imo.
Some quests in TSW are downright brutal.

Obtaining the legendary weapons isn't about grinding. It's about a hell of a lot of teamwork and many sleepless nights of trying. Sure, FF has a lot of grinding but it still takes skill.

And I never even scratched the surface of the Endgame. The Binding Coils of Bahamut were just too impossible to even try. One of my friends who is still playing the game after a year hasn't yet gotten past the Binding Coils. At one point, people speculated that it was an impossible series of fights. Videos are even hard to find, the last time I checked. I will say that I have seen the stats on the gear received from beating The Binding Coils and it's just ridiculously OP.

Oh and the bundle comes with this:

The full Secret World massively multiplayer online game with no subscription required.

Issue #5: The Vanishing of Tyler Freeborn – A deep and dark mystery investigation on Solomon Island.

Issue #6: The Last Train to Cairo – An epic Indiana Jones-style adventure (including time travel!) in Egypt.

Issue #7: A Dream to Kill – A spy thriller full of intrigue and action in the snowy mountains of Transylvania.

Beginner Weapons – A full set of nine powerful and cool looking starter weapons.
Experience Potions – Five potions which increase the XP gained from killing monsters by 100% for 8 hours.

Ability Point Boost – A timed boost which lasts for three days and lets you earn extra Ability Points as you play the game.

Issue #1 - #4: These content updates were released for free in 2012 and are fully available for you to explore.

Okay, the issues 5,6,7 are worth the extra $30 but only if you play long enough to get to them. Issue 4 is included in original game.
Starter weapons, meh. You can outlevel them in no time and for Kingsmouth you dont need much.
Xp/AP boosts (what is the same thing), handy but not like you need them, there are so many ways to get xp fast I wouldnt spend my money on them.

As for teamwork, I was a raider in more than one game. A hardcore type. I know what it means. I had fitted out endgame characters in several games.
But TSW is different. Yes, you need teamwork for instances and raids, but to get there you have to prove you are capable of holding on your own too. Soloing, duoing in open world is most of the time harder than instancing with full team.

For example, faction quests to get a rank. Rank 10 is the worst quest I ever had in any MMO. Even with browsing and finding all kinds of workarounds and instructions, I got oneshot more than once. It took not just reacting but thinking and a lot of it. Some people who are way into endgame never did it actually.
But man when I made it, I was so ridiculously proud of myself...

I'll give it a shot. I hope it's as good as World of Warcraft. :D

That was just to piss you off. Ha!

It's an 18.1 Gig download and my computer is estimating 25 minutes. So we'll see.

I wonder if my twin GTX 680 FTW+ cards running SLI will be able to handle this thing. I dunno...

Kitty is in Germany. So I'm going to bump this thread.

I also have an account on Final Fantasy XIV: ARR - X'xin Tia (Balmung server)

25 minutes? Sigh. Mine took like 12 hours to download I didn't realise the game was so large. A friend sent me a trial so I'm going to test it out. I have shitty Australian Internet.

Is TSW the type of game you have to be part of a guild and can't do certain things unless part of one ...I saw someone else on here talking about it seemed interesting I miss the MMO

Woah I couldn't live with a 12-hour download time. I'm sorry.

Well StrayKat made missions MUCH easier for me. But you can solo it at least from my understanding.

The game really is very difficult, as StrayKat says. It's easy to end up in a bad situation if you don't know your way around. Shit can hit the fan quick. Early in-game quests can be pretty hard as I had to step out a few times over an instance. I died over and over and over. Kat couldn't help me as it was solo.

Anyway, happy gaming.

No, not really. You can solo for a long time and then PuG for more group oriented content. There are groups looking for everything all the time in LFG channel.

@ Chris.... I am counting on you to help me sometimes when you "grow up" a bit too :D
