Mmmmm. Tend to forget about Brighton Beach. Thanks for reminding me, if it's good weather this week, might break out there early on the day off for a bit o' beachside strolling n' knee-deep wading on the surf.

You can go more than knee-deep; the water is lovely. I was surprised, since we've had such a cool spring.

You know what the difference is between Coney Island and Brighton Beach is?

I can tell by the look of the breading those chicken fingers were outstanding. I'm not suffering though, My Sister dropped by this afternoon bringing with her a large baking pan of eggplant parm and some crusty bread. Yum.

I'm on a fish & veg only challenge for the month of June, so I'm eschewing chicken and red meats for the nonce, but I might get me some filets pretty soon and do 'em up like those fingers. Been a spell since I've done a home fry sesh.

In Coney Island you see little Puerto Rican kids on the beach in their underwear. In Brighton Beach you see old Russian men on the beach in their underwear.
