Is that doable on these forums? I tried doing it the same way I embed gifs & jpegs but that didn't seem to work.

VBcode won't help here - that is the code you have been using to embed gifs and jpeg here at Lit.
HTML code is needed but turned off for posts.
You could put a request in for changes to be made to accept them. Changes happen gradually here, so may take years.
Meanwhile, just link to them rather than embed

Yeah, I don't think HTML will be turned back on here. IIRC, it was turned off because some people were using the feature to embed scripts that were problematic or malicious, and that can be a serious issue on such a large, loosely moderated board.
