So I was told that I should get a recorder to record when my boss is screaming at me, which he likes to do when no one of importance is around.

Is this legal to do and what kind should I get?

Get one that is voice activated, or maybe switch on your phone's intercom and broadcast him to his boss?

Dear Lorilei -

Thank You, That meant so much to me. You are such an amazing friend.

Love, Mona

I was told I would have evidence that he was doing this, instead of a he said/she said sort of deal since none of the men I work with are being believed that he is doing this.

According to HR we suffer from group think and I am just hearing him wrong.

Sounds like you have a bigger HR problem. If you make the recording you might be opening a can of worms so think about it and make sure you CYA. I had a similar issue with a boss but over racism. HR was all like oh your mistaken. I'm like how can you misinterpret calling someone a nigger? I mean really how stupid are you? I resolved it by finding a better position.

Just CYA

Okay, you tell me what it was then. I was minding my own business in a friends apartment, the dishes began to rattle in the china closet and I thought the end of the world was upon us. My friend said to calm down, it's only a 2.0. I took him at his word.

For reference, here's the last really big one, magnitude 7.1:

Here's the first aftershock, five minutes later, magnitude 4.5:

A 2.0 would be 1/300th the force of a 4.5.

Prior to 1998, they've only saved the maps for eight Southern California earthquakes, but USGS has data going back to 1900.

I don't know what amazing thing Lorilei did, but we should ask ourselves the following question:

Are any of us surprised that she did it?

I think not.

No, no, no, no. All the references, are all wrong. Not buying it. *my crossed arms over my bosoms*

Oddly enough, that surprised me. I should have expected it.. And I didn't. That hurt.

Logarithms are confusing for a lot of people.

I wasn't laughing at you, but that how I was amazed that his theory could be proven wrong.

I also learned a little known scale called the Mercalli. A scale that takes into account damage done, how far from epicenter, and type of soil.
