Being safe while in bondage

I was talking to someone in PM about this and they suggested I share so here goes.

All the talk of bondage and sex its well and good, but you still need to be safe when you do this. One of the games my BF and I like to play is keeping me tied for longer periods of time. Sometimes even overnight.

So here's what he did (the clever boy.) He bought a wireless doorbell ringer.

Then he bought an extra button to push to ring the bell. If he ties me to the bed, he always hangs to of the buttons where my hands are. That way, if one somehow didnt work, the other one would. Just a simple piece of string tied to the fram where the ropes holding me are attached.

So that's my "out". Ff we're doing a fantasy where he's abducted me and is keeping me as his sex toy, after ravaging my body (always against my will right?) He may leave me spread eagle and sleep in the other room or couch while resting. During the night, he often awakens and comes in to claim more of his "prize."

But if I ever get uncomfortable and need to use my safe word, I can ringer the doorbell and he comes to release me.
