To answer that, one has to consider HOW someone finds a seven year old thread. Without any bumping or subsequent comments, I'd imagine the thread would get buried.

To that end, I imagine that someone who stalked another, looks at all threads someone started, and seeing a chance to make a good impression on the stalked person, but ...Oops! they forgot to check when the thread was made!

That's a good question. I thought, since ubergutterslut is online right at the moment of my writing this, that they were currently an active forum member, but I just did a search and see the last she contributed to the forum was in 2008.


So... IDK. I guess someone IS tracking someone for 7 years even though the person who bumped the thread was a member for 2 years...

I'm baffled. Perplexed even. It makes for an interesting story though, nee? (against forum rules though of course)

the reason that ubergutterslut is shown as being online is because they are an active writer, and there isn't a difference between when you sign in to the author website to post and monitor your stories and when you log into the forum.
So signing in to one signs you into the other and posts you as being online even if you aren't looking at threads, etc.

Aha! the plot thickens.

Ubergutterslut used to have a picture posting thread showing her tits and ass (edited and removed by now), and that thread has seen recent activity which probably alerted trollish stalkers that a potential webmate was online, especially seeing her status was "online now."

What is sad is they don't realize that the age posted on everyone's profile isn't updated every year, so whatever you post, unless you edit it, will remain thus for all eternity.

She posted she was 26, six years ago, so by now she is 32, probably married, with one or two knee biters on hand, and signs into Lit in fond remembrance when she was a wild child and writing stories to see what people think of her stories.

She has a lot of stories listed as "hot" and she disabled comments.
Why she would sign in then, I haven't a clue...

Edit: nope I take that back, she is 26 now. She has her birthdate posted which means the system does update your age. I thought it didn't. another good theory shot to hell.
Does the mind good; all this exercise of jumping to conclusions.

I feel the same way about folks in game threads. I don't mind (or notice) people flirting with other people. But when they ignore everyone else and they become more fixated on the flirting, especially in a game thread, then I usually balk at the antics.

On an off-off topic, how did your blackmail story turn out? I don't remember seeing such a story in your story list, last I looked...
