Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Good question.

It's been a while since I saw the movie but I'm pretty sure that Hal Jordon the "original" green lantern and former military jet fighter.

There is also Guy Gardner (Imagine Vette with Super Powers and you've got a pretty good idea)

Kyle Raynor: Someone decided one day that if your powers are based on your imagination perhaps getting a professional artist in on it would be better than military meat heads.

Jon Stewart: Former Marine, Black Guy which just distinguishes him from the other three at glance. The others well if you're a big enough geek you can tell them apart at a glance no matter the artist. But most people could easily get confused as to which brown haired, brown eyed, green lantern they are looking at.

Matt Damon is seriously being considered for Aquaman in Justice League, so hearsay sayeth.

There are some definite unusual casting choices for the DC movies lately...

I can't believe Aquaman made the cut. The last fifteen years or so of cartoons and to a large extent the comics have just quietly pretended he doesn't exist. I would probably go with

  • Superman
  • Batman
  • Wonderwoman
  • Flash
  • Green Lantern

Martain Manhunter would just be a random cop named John Jones and I might have a scene or two where Batman questions how some guy walked into a broom closet and vanished or have him freak out when someone sparks up a cigarette and leave it at that.

Dear God Booster Gold. You're a fucking nerd you know that? And. . .honestly if I had the budget I'd film a Booster Gold movie at the same time and have it showing that he was just off screen the entire fucking time and they would have been epically fucked if he hadn't been guiding them.

New show in an hour and a half! :D

Zack Snyder Confirmed to Direct Justice League

Greg Silverman, President of Warner Brothers Worldwide Production has confirmed that Zack Snyder will be back to direct the Justice League film after Superman/Batman

“It will be a further expansion of this universe,” said Mr. Silverman. “’Superman vs Batman’ will lead into ‘Justice League.’”

This should come as no real surprise to anyone who doesn’t have their head up their ass. Warner Brothers, Snyder and anyone involved with Superman/Batman have been saying that it’s NOT the Justice League film and that it has dual purpose: To be a Man of Steel sequel first and to also establish a world that can lead into a Justice League film. The only real news to this is that it’s confirmed that Snyder will be back to direct it as well.

A script is still in development and Warner has not set a release date, though the movie is unlikely to come out before 2018. Mr. Silverman would not comment on what other heroes might join Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman in the movie. However the studio has recently been casting the role of Cyborg, a half-robotic hero who is expected to have a cameo in “Batman vs. Superman” and then appear in “Justice League.” Other DC heroes who have been in Justice League comic books include Aquaman, Flash and Green Lantern.

I think it’s smart to bring Snyder back. I watched the Man of Steel extras and there’s a lot they have that could clearly lead to Justice League and leaving it all in the same hands seems to be wise. The only other person I could think of that they might have gone with would be Ben Affleck. I still believe Affleck will get a crack at directing one of WB’s films. Batman is the obvious choice but I’m not sure they’d do Batman before some of the other characters. But that’s just my speculation. I remember when the rumor came out that Ben was in the running to direct Justice League a few years back and it was on the stipulation that he played one of the characters. And now here we are with him playing Batman. So again, I wouldn’t be surprised if Affleck picked up a directing role in the future.

This news just confirms to me that people who bitch about WB/DC not knowing what they are doing actually don’t know what they are talking about and are just complaining to complain. It’s obvious Warner Brothers has a plan and they seem to be working on it. Let’s give them a chance to show us what they have before we freak out. Oh and about Warner Brothers being too “afraid” to do a Wonder Woman film:

And while there are no plans yet for a “Justice League” spinoff featuring Ms. Gadot’s “Wonder Woman,” Warner executives said they are warm to the idea.

“That is our hope,” said Sue Kroll, president of worldwide marketing. “With the right script, that could be viable. The world is ready for her.”

Please shut up now.

I'll believe in a Wonder Woman movie when I'm actually holding the DVD in my hand. Until then I will just assume I had too much to drink and was hallucinating. That girl gets NO love. Super Girl almost out shines her.

Maybe we'll get lucky and Flash from Arrow will be the Flash. I doubt it but it could be cool if they could start syncing shit up. Only problem is Gotham is probably gonna be huge and syncing that to Arrow would be nigh impossible.

Yo. They don't want her to shine. That's all there is to it.

There is literally no excuse for not having her up at this point in our history.

If the world were fair and right, we'd be at Wonder Woman 3 right now.

I didn't say they wanted her to shine. Clearly they don't. It's just hard to take it seriously when DC constantly tries to push her as the third pillar of the Justice League when most of the time she's treated like she got her seat via Affirmative Action (like Hawk Girl and to a lesser extent Jon Steward the Black Lantern did). She's had as you note one series ages ago, I notice that was only live action movies you noted.

Batman has done very well in cartoons as well, better than Superman (but that's pretty much true of the Box office as well.

Robin is supposed to be a side kick and he's on his third cartoon as the lead. Teen Titans, Young Justice, Teen Titans Go!

Being fair Flash gets no love either (but that might be a changin!) and they've tried with Green Lantern but apparently nobody can write him and not suck at it even though he's so much fun.

strikeforce: morituri. suck on that obscure comic reference, you assholes.

and the flash sucks and i hated his tv show.

Strikeforce: Morituri, cool series. Don't have all the issues, but it's was an interesting story. I never conceived of spacing someone before. Those aliens were rather rude.

Man-thing reference!

This. It's silly they have not done anything beyond an animated feature (which was pretty good, and could have gone love action with some small tweaks) in the years since the television show.

I'll bet Warner is kicking themselves that they let Joss Whedon walk right over to the Avengers instead of letting him make the Wonder Woman film he wanted to make.

I hope they are but I doubt it. Warner has owned DC since at least the the late 80's early 90's, it's not like Disney and Marvel where it's a new team up. If they wanted to give Wonder Woman some love they would have a long time ago.

They could give her a video game or two, sure flights a bit of a bitch to keep from being just a game breaking power but it's not impossible. She could have gotten more than the one cartoon. Which was pretty good, it didn't do great sales wise but I think part of that is Wonder Woman gets no love is that she gets no love.

I really don't care for the Ward-Skye love interest angle. Makes me think I'm watching a soap opera.

it was a classic. there have been tv series/movie rumors in the past, but sadly nothing has never happened. that's not surprising since it was a short run and never popular, but it would still be awesome.

also, it was just plain refreshing to finally have real death in a comic. they don't do that enough.

the fuckers.

and i did have the entire run at one point. that is no longer true in the hard copy sense, but i have the whole series on a spare hard drive so yay for that.

I didn't mind it until Ward went evil. It didn't interest in particular but it didn't annoy me or anything. Now I'm pissed she didn't fold her arms and let the little prick die.

Who approved of Project Tahiti?! Who?

She should've let him die. She was about to and I was like, yes, do it, do it, do it! He fucked with your shit, learn him! :D

From what I remember in the comics, Deathlok was way more ruthless. But he's being controlled by whomever, so...

And it seems Coulson himself gave the pathway to his own revival? Did I miss something in that reveal?

I don't remember much at all of Deathlok from the comics but he's probably in that club where so few people recognize him that they can be far more liberal with their interpretation than with other characters. If Magneto was as "minor" a character as Deathlok he'd probably be a Nazi Sympathizer who wants to destroy humanity because they are an inferior species not a Jew who has a damn good reason to be skeptical of a government that wants his people to come in and be counted and labeled.

Coulson in the video seemed to have been adamant that Tahiti never be used on anybody because it simply fucks you up and you come back wrong. And regardless he was quite dead when it was done to him I have to imagine that there is at least one more person involved in the loop cus it's not so much a loop right now as a crescent.

The thing is, we all saw the alien that they got the regeneration serum from, and it obviously wasn't made for Coulson, so they can't just leave it like that.

Plus, Skye is an alien from jump, if I've been following this shit correctly. So we have a deus ex machina of a sort waiting in the works.

I really wanted to see May and Hill go at it. From the previews last week, I thought they were gonna tussle. That would've been nice to see.
