I had a neighbor like that. His lawn was the same size as mine yet he had to get a riding lawnmower. He'd be out there at night because it had a headlight. He tortured his grass by mowing it in the rain. And in the fall he was out bagging leaves every evening. Drove me nuts.

Were these changes made prior to ordering materials? I always appreciate it when changes are made after parts are ordered that will no longer fit because of changes that were never discussed with us.

Keep calm and remember it's not personal. There's a large change coming up on one of my jobs and although it's frustrating (because I'm not fond of doing work stuff twice) it pays well.
Just roll the red-lining cost into the next change order. Be sure to add an appropriate profit factor.

My stuff is already in the field and the ice road (if still open) will be closed any minute. If we rework it in the field, it's a pile of $$. If we build new and fly it to the site, it's a pile of $$. There's no downside.
