No, it's just that, if you have dental coverage, they seem to find unnecessary things to do to your teeth just because they can, and if you question it, they say oh, but you are only paying 15%, so don't worry...I mean, if I have no cavities, it's like they go LOOKING for SOMETHING, anything, to get me back in that office to bill me.
Yesterday, I was told I had a chip on one of my back molars. I can not feel anything, can't see anything...if there is a chip, it must be pretty friggin' small. But they immediately booked me for a half hour appointment to fill the chip. I just called now to cancel the appointment. Told them I'd take my chances and see if I got any cavities or not.
I once got a newsletter from our other dental office, talking about "maximizing your coverage" and using up all of the dental coverage you possibly could because otherwise the employer might reduce your benefits for next time...so spend, spend, spend!
