Well if you must know....17 year old at a party, goes looking for her friend (who's already 18), hears noises coming from behind closed door of her friend possibly having sex, gets annoyed at friend and leaves party. that's it.

So is that crossing the line?

That's not what you provided in your first post is it? You can certainly keep adding detail in follow up posts until it eventually becomes OK. That's a fun Internet game.

The bottom line for me, though, is that you are trying to play the underage card if you can.

Nope. I'll ask again. A 17 year old overhears some people having sex in another room. She gets annoyed and leaves the party where this was happening. This is a 3 or 4 sentence scene in a nearly 20,000 word story. That's all that's needed in regard to details pertaining to my question. Is this type of scene against Literotica's rules? Simple yes/no question.

A reason to have a character start out before they are 18 means you can do stuff like losing virginity at 18 without having to sacrifice background. Say, if you want to have a boyfriend and girlfriend promise to lose their virginity to each other when they are both 18 as I understand from the blanket rules I've been told by this thread you cant do that. It seems silly that characters cant even be aware of sex before they turn 18, though I do understand the reason why.

You cant do any sort of build up in that kind of story if theres just a blanket rule that says characters cant know about sex before 18 and it eliminates a lot of possible story setups, which I guess is probably the reason why so many falls into the same basic setups where the only difference is the skill of the author and the names.

You cant even have a younger girl/boy see someone else naked and realize they are attracted to them since apparently watcing (even by accident) is also a form of sex.

But the ruling stands. Therefore its best to stray from stories that would lead you to the gray underage area. At least, here on Lit. As said, this type of writing won't be rejected in mainstream writing or in many other venues.

But it's Lits rule. So if we post stories here, we abide by it.

But if you want to write about a character under 18 who is coming into their sexuality, and you want to include sexual situations, you can post elsewhere.

Also, as many of us have said, you can include some kinds of declarative statements so long as they aren't graphic. "I lost my virginity at sixteen." "I saw them in the bed." However, as has also been said, there is only one person who vets the stories, and so what she says goes. So the only way to know if your story will work is to submit it and find out.

It really depends on whether or not you are following the letter of the law vs the spirit.

In 'Timber Wolf Pack' a very popular story in the GM section, the main character actually is 17. They weave it into the story. He kisses and mildly fantasizes about his crush for the first two stories, but his crush waits until they are both eighteen. And that is okay.

But in one of my stories, as part of the story, I had a villainous character rape a 10-year-old boy. I wasn't trying to make it sexy or anything, I honestly just wanted it to be part of the plot, but that was a no-no. My story was reported and taken down.

Laurel can tell the difference between you trying to squeeze in a sixteen-year-old sex-scene flashback, and you trying to make a realistic character that has had sex as a teen.

She is more comfortable with 17-year-olds biding their time than with violence towards children.

And remember, if you get too frustrated that you can't have fourteen-year olds fucking, remember that you can always submit to asstr, and remember that Literotica is the best and most cohesive and well-run website for sharing smut on the entire interwebs.

So I think you can handle it.

There you go, Randomcarrot. You've given about the best definition that can be given in general of where the line is for under 18s on Literotica. If it's in any way sexual/sensual/arousing, it doesn't fly. If there is touching or looking or description of what happened with an under 18 that you mean to be sensual or sexual, it's not allowed here. If you were writing it with any intent to make under 18 arousing then it's over the edge for Literotica. If you simply mention in passing that something sexual had happened to them when they were younger--for instance to explain why a woman left home at 17--then, depending on the context, it might be OK.

The bottom line for yourself as the author is, if it's happening to a character who you think has to be under 18, ask yourself, honestly, why the character has to be under 18. Most of the time you'll come up with your own answer on why the particular use won't fly on Literotica. It's because you want to play to the readers wanting to read underage sex.

Some people try to write underage for titillation and generally those types want to go below the age of 16 because outside of lit 16 is a legal age of consent. So someone looking for an underage thrill will be going in the 15-under range.

No, Box, Cruel had a whole breathy, squeally thread about how maybe she had a date with the guy in a room upstairs in her dorm later that day for him to lay her (and we were all supposed to be pleased for her)--and then he stood her up.
