I saw another story named, "What happens in Vegas," and thought, I don't remember going for more than about a week without that title popping up. I wondered how many stories had that exact title so I did a search...23. 23 stories entitled, "What happens in Vegas."

Can anyone beat 23 stories with the same title?

Depends upon what counts. Assuming you're using that exact title as the search term, and including the multi-chapter stories using the title, plus variations that appear in the results:

( Assuming because searching "what happens in vegas" came up with the 23 results cited )

"Ghost of a Chance" has 28.

"The Kiss", and "First Love" have many multiples.

No one has yet re-used the titles of my stories Hedgehog Feud and Getting Nude With Chairman Mao.

No one else used House of Whorers, which is a play on words title for a Halloween contest.

That's a clever title.

A friend challenged me to write in a category I knew nothing about for a Lit contest I hadn't entered before. He also came up with the title, which is the best part of the whole thing. But I tried.

'The Awakening' or 'An Awakening' would probably feature fairly high on a list of over-used titles. I would search it but I'm meant to be writing.

I'm not great at searching, but it appears no one else has used Lex Talionis in or as a title.

Pervo team response: Let's recruit a few dozen authors to write a set of tales, ALL WITH THE SAME NAME! Maybe in various categories. And all submitted at the same time. How about this title: DON'T STICK IT THERE! But I'm open to suggestions.

I have just checked my list of submissions as oggbashan.

Out of 216 titles, only 12 are/were not unique at the time of posting.

The most used was 'Photo Shoot'. Mine was the 23rd. Next was 'Sunday Morning'. Mine was 14th. Only two others had numbers in their URL above 5.

I think Hey All has a "photo shoot" story a mother/son.

I used Porn shoot instead:D

This was actually done on an informal basis during the Halloween 2006 contest, using the title "Trick or Tryst"

wow what a difference.

close to 200 stories. I see people were entering with chapters and I noticed a tie for first place.

No where near that many stories now Earth Day barely broke 40

I'm not good at searches either,

but "We need to talk" and its many variations would seem to be up there in usage for a title.
