The amount of votes and views and the comments blow away what I'm used to in the sites I'd posted a few things.

So today I decided to sign up and have a look about the boards and see what I can learn here.

I don't want to transfer my handful of short stories here, but would rather start fresh in a fun new place so looking for some inspiration and ways to challenge myself.

thanks! I tend to write longer more detailed stories so good to hear its not just a one handed category.

Longer stories tend to score better, while suffering a little in the views and vote total department ( Though they're still nothing to sneeze at, surpassing 3/4 of the categories -- and probably more )

Stroke tales come near to competing with the highest read categories on the site ( Loving Wives and Incest ) as far as views and votes, but trend lower in score than longer stories. My first story to break 1000 votes in a day was a Mature age-difference stroke story, as was my first story to break 100k views.

I hear you on the writer's block. I'm about a year behind on getting a chapter out, but getting close. The boards help as well as getting a good fanbase. I still get encouraging emails from readers looking forward to the next chapter.
