I think it just depends on how much clothes and underwear the person has. I have a couple drawers and one extra pair hear or there wouldn't be noticeable unless it was something really out of the ordinary.

My mil only has about 20 pairs of panties and the most used ones are in the closet next to the bathroom where she showers.
