How to describe a female loosing her virginity.

Ladies please help. Not being a female, I have a hard time describing how it may have felt.

I have experienced some pretty severe pain but this one is a mystery to me. I imagine it being like a paper cut or worse, maybe an incision from a knife?

Also, I've heard of girls breaking their hymens in gymnastics, riding horses, bicycles even tampons when they hit puberty. Is this true?

Just trying to make a realistic story.

It didn't hurt at all and it certainly didn't feel like a knife incision!! A paper cut is way worse.

The only reason it would hurt would be if you expected it to hurt, and were therefore clenching.

my experience was a little different. It did hurt.. sometimes it still hurts... but not in the same shocking way that a paper cut or stab wound might hurt.
it's more like that last half mile of your run.. when you're afraid you won't be able to make it until you feel that rush of endorphins that allows you to fall into it.

It definitely hurt for me, though it wasn't agony. A papercut or knife cut are are wrong type of injury, so it doesn't feel like those; this isn't a cut, it's a tear. Did you ever tear the place where your earlobe connects to your head a little? Getting a new stretch mark or a hernia are similar - it's not so much the instant of getting injured that hurts, as the stinging soreness that starts up immediately afterwards. How it felt to me, anyway.

There are differences in how the hymen is formed for different women, so maybe that's what accounts for the differences in feeling/pain.

Mine was a small tearing of the skin which was experienced as a brief but very sharp pain. And I did bleed (and he was proud; he fantasized about displaying the sheets for people to see). It was because the guy rammed it all in at one go and the position I was in had me "clenching" tight, which resulted in: WHAM! *YOWL!!*

Yeah, not pleasant. It didn't have to be that way, but we both didn't know jack-squat what we were doing.

And I still have my hymen. It's just well adjusted to penetration by now.

I suppose you could put me in the same category. I lost my virginity when I was raped by my uncle, and yes, I was "clenching tight" when it happened, and yes, it hurt.

When I started writing stories about first-time sex, I fantasized my characters losing their maidenhead in positive ways, either by masturbation or caring sex, as a way of healing myself from that trauma. As it turned out, it made for painless sex when I went to bed with somebody I really cared about, but I would rather have paid a cheaper price for that privilege.

There was a time in my life when I went without sex at all, and my hymen did heal to the point where coitus became painful again without a lot of foreplay. Now, during the times I'm not having sex, I have a few toys that keep me stretched out, so that's not an issue anymore.

I've been told that other women have had their hymens broken by gymnastics, horseback riding, and so on, but haven't met any women who personally confessed that to me. But then again, I haven't asked.

My intention is to write a first person series for each person in a series. They will overlap each-others lives and each one will have a slightly different experience for their situation.

Thanks for your solicitude. There are a lot of us out there, more than you probably suspect. It happens every day. I've put it behind me, for the most part. "Look backward, but live forward" is my motto.

So many things can play into this. Some women just have a tough, thick hymen and I've known at least a couple who had to have medical intervention to allow penetration. I think girls are more active than they were in say, Victorian times, and use of tampons is common now. That helps to stretch out the hymen for some. Also, I think girls now have more knowledge about the process and know what to expect. Sadly, in the past, many girls were sent off to the marriage bed entirely clueless, with clueless partners, and pain and bleeding resulted. Of course, a forced penetration is often painful for non-virgins. As for Blaze, I was well prepared and it was pain free and my only complaint was that the act was over entirely too soon.
