trying anal play

I am a 30M and have always been interested in trying some backdoor play but have never had the courage to. Would love to get some advice about how to start. I don't have any toys for this per say but maybe something around the house or just finger? Hope that isn't a weird question. I would love to get some help from some one who wants to pm or yim and maybe make it fun to try...

I'd be up for advice or maybe even some instruction or role play.

My first & best advice I offer is to look up Tristan Taormino. She literally wrote the book on the topic. Also *warning: promotional plug* I strongly encourage you to look up the Vivid-Ed series.
