I assume you're really aiming this question at women but my answer as a man might be of interest.

Men are fortunate. Broadly speaking, stimulating their cocks in one way or another will make them cum and any orgasm, for a man, is an orgasm. A man is assured that he will come as a result of pretty well every sexual encounter he has.

On the other hand, it is more difficult for a woman to have an orgasm in the first place and much more difficult to have a good one.

True? Maybe not.

A girlfriend recently told me that she had an orgasm about once a year with her husband. He simply didn't have enough experience, understanding, or knowledge to give her what she wanted, nor, I suspect, was he that bothered about it. That was why she became my girlfriend.

Maybe the difference between your ex and your girlfriend was that she did have the experience, understanding, and knowledge to give you what you wanted and cared enough about you to make sure you had incredible sex. But is that necessarily a factor of her gender?
