Highlands is a beautiful area of my State. Lots of pretty waterfalls real close by there including Bridal Veil, Cullasaja Falls, on one of my favorite rivers the Cullasaja River, and so many more.

I am refreshed, thanks, although there is also some recuperating still needed from so much togetherness. I'm quite thoroughly reclusive, and it is both emotional and physical work to have continuous time with others... without alone time... It takes me awhile...

such a wonderful question, K -- what did I learn?

I'll answer what did I see first: the moon, mountains, breasts, drumming and ecstatic dance, candle light, foot rubs...

what did I learn? that though this was the fourth croning ritual I've conducted or participated in, I feel no urge whatsoever toward such a ceremony for myself. I feel remarkably settled in my own Woman of Wisdom life-phase... and I'm firmly settled in my own energetic practices with little desire for the orchestration and fuss of the large rituals I used to delight in creating... I spent twenty years putting a lot of myself into that. I don't regret it, but I just don't feel called to it anymore. Friends in this gathering worked to convince me to return to a larger group I used to gather with twice a year, leading worship, teaching workshops... I'm just not drawn to it anymore. I learned I am letting myself Be... letting go of the Doing standard...
