A Poet Walks Into a Bar . . .

Harry,
in a thread you referred to me as "my friend" , despite that fact that all words inherently have the potential for the direct opposite meaning, and because I have been called too many other things in the past. I accept that. And, I am honoured.
Thank you for making me believe it.

I also said you were a boon companion and used a reference to 'bear baiting'... you never picked up on that. :) Any honor is mine that you shared your time and knowledge to bring me and others further down the path of understanding the inter-relations of words and sound-ary ...
thank you 12
....
ETA: Cocktail?

12:01 means I don't start drinking 'till noon. One must have some order in life. I must have misread 'bear baiting' as bare bathing which I often do, unless I want to laundry at the same time.

gonna indulge in a bit of that in a minute - i'm seizing up from a stint in the garden. how does that stuff grow so bigggggggg? i've a pile of brush maybe 7 feet high and that's just from the buddleia and it involved climbing on chairs, saws and stretching up with a grass rake to grab and pull down branches enough to reach! wearing half the damned bush in my hair. :rolleyes:

i could use a brandy. medicinal purposes, naturally - the fact it tastes good has nothing to do with things, ya hear?

indeed, a sweet, very youthful-sounding voice, Annie!

I was listening to it, eyes closed, it is a sweet voice indeed. :) I'm not so used to the British accent, it is... Musical, I guess?

Or perhaps that is an added effect of reading a poem (beautiful poem, by the way, Annie — my appreciation of rhyming has increased ;)). I don't think I've heard anyone read a poem out loud more than a handful of times. I should probably go take a look at some others in that audio section...

Thank you both :rose:

There was someone looking for a "swf muse" a bit earlier, here on the PoBo. He was educated and fit. I wonder if he found what he was looking for... :cool:

What's a 'swf muse' ? :confused:

swf= single white female
or...

Yes, that's what a google search told me. I don't understand why our mods would suppress such a praiseworthy quest; all he wanted was to write poems about her alabaster skin and rosebud... :rolleyes:
