I cant imagine the USSR inventing shit to make the gals look good. And I cant recall ever seeing women snipers in any other nation.

I can name three with women snipers off the top of my head. Want to guess?
Israel and Iran for two. The women guards of Libya's Colonel Gaddafi weren't a great help.
During WW2, Yugoslavia had many women fighters including snipers.

The Philippines and China during WW2 and Vietnam were the ones that came to mind plus Israel. The US and Canada both have some trained but I don't know if they have been used.
