How is it possible to be bored so early in the day, well morning? Damn weather, enough with the rain already.

Edit: Nice pic, Bunny! :)

I had a dream last night that Iris and Bunny and I were in the finale of some international Master Chef-y program. The last challenge was a dessert one.

I made peanut butter. Yes. Peanut butter. I ladled it from the jar onto a plate. Bunny cut ice cream with cookie cutters into various shapes. Iris won by putting halved pears into freezer until they were frozen solid. The judges loved it how the thawing pears were a whole experience: at first you get to look at the subtle changes in their appearance while they thaw, you get to talk with your friends a lot because it takes forver for them to get soft enough to eat and when you finally manage to eat them, they taste like pear. Win, win, win.

So congrats Iris!

Well, at least no one used Dream Whip:

Haha, I came home after drinking at least one beer more than I should have and read this.
Thank you, it's nice to win!
Even more funny since the corniest dessert I know is the one where you put canned pears with After Eight on top in the oven.

That is hilarious. :D

Looking good!

That reminds me of the first dessert I ever made all by myself: canned, halved peaches on a baking tray, a chocolate square into the pit of each half, pop in the oven until the chocolate melts, top with whipped cream. (Or Dream Whip. What is it anyways?)

I was around 5 and had found the recipe in a Disney's Grandma Duck cookbook for kids. I was utterly disappointed, because it was so simple. My mother swears that was the first time I had a "do they think kids are stupid" rant, which later on became sort of a signature of mine.

Edit: The same recipe was also used in home ec when I was on the 7th grade (that means 13 years old). I loved home ec and even took it on the 8th and 9th grades while it was mandatory only on the 7th, but that recipe was an epic letdown. :)

I hardly ever get stupid ones, and I just did, and I want to share!
