Hitting the point that I might take my peeving past online fun. Saw an ad for Ashley Madison affair dating site and started wondering if it was real or a scam. Wondering if anyone has had positive or negative stories about the site or other sites or suggestions.

Wow that's great news! Was it private and not too many fake people on there? I'm a good looking 38 yr old, but I don't have many opportunities to meet people outside of my group of friends. I imagine that with any dating site, it's a meat market. The ladies have their choice of who they want and us guys cross our fingers and hope a nice guy does finish first with some hot fun.

I have also thought about joining the site to potentially being a wifes dirty secret, but haven't gotten there yet.

I'm a member. So far I've contacted some 53+ women, with no response. Not no positive responses, just no responses at all.

As looking4mom says, it's a meat market. Like most such sites, the men outnumber the women by a ratio of about 2 or 3 to 1.

If you're under 50, a professional, work out 3-4 times a week, and don't smoke, and can afford a "love nest", you probably have a shot.

On the other hand, once you get past the initial buy-in of "credits" it doesn't cost much if anything, so I keep sending out contacts on the theory that "if you throw enough at the wall, sooner or later something will stick'. But it's anybody's guess as to how long that might take. Could be years...

If it has similar dynamics to Fling.com, then I estimate the male-to-female ratio is closer to between 5-10:1. It may not seem that bad at first, but in my year on Fling it seemed roughly half of the female profiles were bogus, possibly made with stolen credit cards in hopes of baiting men into being phished.

No. They have a system where you can keep your pics private and give out keys to your "private showcase". You CAN put your face pic on your profile, and there are a lot of women who put pics up from the neck down, but you don't have to put your face up.

As for "better" sites, no. There are a multitude of sites--MarriedButLonely, Married Hall Pass, Cheating Wives, Horney Wives, etc., etc. Do a google search for "married dating websites" and you'll find many.

Trouble is, like Michiro says, they all are set up pretty much like Fling!: many more men than women, and a lot of the women's ads are bogus. The website is set up to entice you to spend money on "upgrades" or "premium memberships".

As part of that dynamic, they set up fake ads of women stating they're hot and ready to go, complete with a pic they've just skimmed off the web, then either have bots that send autogenerated responses to enquiries to keep you interested and paying, or paid responders who pretend to be the person in the ad but might live in Sri Lanka or someplace.

Probably your best bet is Adult Friend Finder, though they tend to cater mostly to swinging couples and singles. Finding another married woman who wants to have an affair is like searching for the proverbial needle in the haystack--possible, but what are the odds? And if you do find one, she'll be in Vancouver BC or Miami FL, not anywhere near you.

It's frustrating, but there just are no good answers.

It's not a matter of finding dirty girls, it's a matter of finding someone discreetly.
