This topic is clearly a guys dream...as we know most men have hosiery fetishes. So, imagine stepping into a machine (nude) and a liquid is sprayed onto your body. the material instantly dries and there you go...

the reason why I say this is a guys fantasy, is most men will love it if things are sheer...or skin tight. I just don't see how we can be modest and hide our nipples  which again, will please men. Just look at some of the latex outfits

I'm serious when I say that this is in the works...so far its for shirts. But... and how does one prevent camel toe  or worse ... mooseknuckle for the men? :cattail:

was it Star Trek where the skirts where short and women had tights on? or was that Buck Rogers?

Not sure where this topic should go but its interesting, no?

Interesting idea! Wouldn't leave much to the imagination! As long as guys do it, I'm in haha

Star Trek, Buck Rogers and every other 80's Sci-Fi.

I sorta resent being generalized, but yea if your gonna step into the machine so will I, but, just a thought won't this take away the fun of tearing off each others clothes.

I don't even know how you'd get a dried liquid outfit off?
Hose it off? Every sexcapade a wet T-shirt contest?
Honestly, I wouldn't object to a society where gals wore spray on clothes, but I doubt it'd ever be a reality. Still too revealing with cameltoes, protruding nipples etc. Doubt it'd be seen alot outside Mardi Gras, FantasyFest, private erotic parties, but I could be wrong.
Supposedly they're making clothes now with nanothreads in them, so stuff poured on the clothes can't absorb into the fabric... that sounds cool.

Hell, No!

Go to a Wal Mart near you, look around, and just imagine...

Some of the comments here are funny. When I first saw a Star Trek rerun, I wondered why women would go around in ridiculous short dresses like that. I later found out all the female costumes for Star Trek were strictly for the male viewers.

Well, short skirts and go-go boots were in style in the '60s and who can imagine styles changing between now and the 23rd century?

sweetie, I'm not trying to generalize anything or anyone. Just spurting out an idea and seeing where it takes us. Looking back, I think if one was growing up in the 80's, well it almost seems magical. We knew who our enemy was (Russia vs today's world of terrorism), every week a new invention was coming out (I like watching ABC's 'The Goldbergs') and music and fashion were running wild as with Scifi.

You have to admit, some of the SciFi outfits were...well not practical and sexist...okay some were sexy. I incorporated that topic to think about future fashion and where things might be going....where is that magic crystal ball of mine....

Oh, and I forgot to add Wonder Woman ... and Dukes of Hazard (who the frack wears Shorts, pantyhose, and boots during summer in GA????)

I think the material being created starts off as a liquid but as it turns into a solid has qualities as cotton but I need to verify that.

I have heard of this before, I think I read some where that athletes were looking at it to improve aerodynamics..

As to Star Trek and sci-fi fashions, well we never thought the communicator would develop into the cell phone, so who knows what fashion designers might come up with.

Just had a thought, is this liquid stuff waterproof, given the weather here, you could end up naked very quickly if you go out.

To borrow from an old saying.... I think liquid clothing is the clothing of the future and always will be.

And another aside... notice how in alot of cheap or bad scifi movies or TV people in the future always wore jumpsuits? Apparently they were so busy running around in space or their robotized cities they had no time to bother with fashion.
I have never nothing against jumpsuits, but if I wore them everyday I doubt I'd ever get a date again.

Pretty sure that the liquid fabric is waterproof.

clearly, men would enjoy the eye candy as I don't see anyway a woman can cover up some things...unless one uses a nipple modesty cover but doesn't that become a pita? also, I wonder how painful it is to remove that...ouch

just imagine if she has a nipple rind of some sort...I think men would be walking erections

Spray-on clothes: No. Not unless you want a Brazilian wax job over your entire body.

Very very tight clothes: Yes. Especially if they can be shrunk-down by applying an electrical charge. A little control knob on a sleeve or collar, to vary the charge, giving a range of tightness, from loose to almost spray-on.

I am wearing very tight spandex tights at this very moment. Visualize me, hey?

Not quite spray on, but several years ago I went to a club in London where the staff shirts, male and female were actually body paint. (No not that sort of club)

Tight clothing in movies, not sci-fi, just watched a re-showing of 'Ice Cold in Alex' and Anthony Quales impossibly tight shorts.

Whats wrong with walking erections?
Might make it more fun for everyone.

I think the clothing of the future will be nudity. Think about it: once we've tamed Mother Nature, the weather will always be gorgeous. Once we've freed our minds of puritanical notions, we'll have nothing to hide. We'll all be as naked and happy as Adam and Eve.

Not in any of our lifetimes, probably. But one of these days.
