Hi everyone I'm Chris an I'm very new to all this I ain't took a course in writing so I won't be good as everyone On here I seen so many peoples stories short or long an they are all brilliant i've always wanted to write one of my own weather it's well like or abouslty rubbish least I gave it ago who know it might give an idea to some one. I like to write about non erotic story no sexual stuff but I do have an idea I want to write about but also want to add a mystery into a nonhuman type.

I'm currently writing the first part which I'm not letting anyone know what's happening an planning On a big twist finisher an it could be a long story or short story with many chapters so any advice would be greatful an go easy On me when I posted it eventually I'm not sure bout a title yet but each part has a subtitle as each chapter has a different place setting an the story is basically anything goes zombie Vampire demons gods etc etc so I'm hoping it be goodish to you all to read let alone readable might need help editing but will finish till the end even if people don't like it as much but will take sometime to do as of work an having kids so please bare with me thanks for reading this an sorry if I bored you with this.

Welcome to the AH and congratulations on taking the plunge and giving writing a shot.

Length is not all that important here. There is a big audience for short "stroke" type pieces as well as 25k and above one shot stories.

Not getting a clear picture of what you're planning, but if it is going to have a lot of variety and is on the long side I would go with chapters to keep each part of the story a little separate rather than jumble everything into one long segment.

Before you post it take a look in this forum

http://forum.literotica.com/forumdisplay.php?f=9

You can probably find someone to clean it up for you.

Then when it posts to lit you can start a thread here

http://forum.literotica.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1

And you can get some authors and readers to check it out and give you some detailed feedback.

Best of luck

Seriously? Shouldn't this be in the humor thread?

Why? Because of the poor spelling?

Some people don;t care when they're posting.

But you notice I mentioned the editor thread.

I'm not going to mock anyone who seems genuinely excited to write.

I'll leave that to certain people.

I hear you, but taken in its entirety, it is obviously an attempt at sarcasm. I ain't took a course in writing? Someone is having some fun here.

Like the rest of us, you've been bitten by the writing bug and now you need to lay it all down to read. Don't worry so much about the technicalities of writing, concentrate on getting the story down and an editor will clean up the issues you have.
Once you know how to get the ideas down on screen, it's more fun than you can imagine putting a story together that people enjoy. You'll learn all the 'Show, don't tell' tricks and more in helpful forums here in Writer's Resources. Lot's of tips to help polish it up and lots of people here to help with advice.

Welcome to Lit. and the AH and hope to see your work soon. :)

Maybe you are correct.

I'll err on the side of caution and be nice.

And if I'm wrong, I apologize. That was my gut reaction when I read the post.

Got it and understand it.

For some reason I took this as sincere and I'm usually kind of cynical.

Funny how different we all are and how we can view the same thing is so many different ways.

And we feed the troll.

Here's an interesting thought (and yes, I am caffeine deficient again), if we weren't and didn't what would be the point in writing? Wouldn't any potential reader already know the story in it's entirety?

We are the Borg. Resistance is futile.

To misquote a rabbi from a long time ago, "let he without grammatical sin cast the first comma."

After all, I was once thought a Troll (not wholly based on looks) as well when the truth was I just hadn't a clue and was trying to find someone to point me at one. (Thanks Sugary_Comfort if you are still around.:rose:)

And if it turns out that he is a troll, well, just pull a Ron and stick your wand up his nose.

Funny you bring up the reader knowing the story not being any fun.

It seems to me that many readers want the same cliches and tropes over and over.

Many of us seem to get conflicting feedback when we do throw a wrench in the works.

Its like they could eat PB&J every day and be okay with it.

Well ain't laughing but love the sarcasm tho I didn't do well when I was in school because I went through really bad time that's why I came here to learn writing stories from reading other peoples stories an getting advice. Oh you can breathe now lol

First piece of advice. lose the text speak and use punctuation. Writing requires it to make sense.

Welcome to the madhouse, by the way.

You need an intervention or something on that coffee, Acktion.
