As Valentine's Day approaches I thought we could do with a thread in which you can say something nice about another Lit member.

The day is known as 'friendship' day over here and I'd like to think this thread could have a similar feel to it.
If you have nothing nice to say, then take it some place else please!

I'm not expecting outpourings of love everlasting but if we get any...great :D

But if there's a poster who's made you smile, or feel appreciated...a co-writer you want to give a special mention to...or whatever...why not give them a mention here...

Spread the love peoples! Spread the love!

And for those wanting to send an actual card to make someone smile on the day itself...don't forget the Great Secret Valentines Day Card send off sign up thread!

Well, as was suggested in the beginning of the thread, there is someone that I would like to thank for being a friend for more years than I care to state.

Britwitch.

Little did I know at the time, but Brit was trying to get me to write with her by putting out thread ideas that she was confident that I would take up. Eventually, I took the bait, and I have been really happy that I did. Brit has been a great person during my times of need, being there with kinds words and gentle support. She has also put up with me at my worst, and is still just as good a friend.

Might I also say, she is one damned great writer, one who has managed to get me to think more about my words than most of the people I have partnered with.

Thank you, Brit, for allow me to enter your life, even the fraction of it I have been able to see, and become one of your friends. Thank you, too, for just being the person you are, and not changing that for anyone.

Thank you :rose:
This was a lovely thing to find and means a lot.

Will have to start working on my own little messages to leave for those who make me smile on a regular basis!

This is what I did, instead of writing, tonight!

I'm not going to assign names - you all know who you are, to me. I'm just going to leave some of my weirdo love here for my friends and co-writers (past, present and future), and for any Lit Lounger who needs a squeeze this week.

Also, I am writing, I swear.

Plus this one, but it is a screen-stretcher. Always make time to love on the most important person in your life, eh?

Ok, let's get this thread going, shall we?
I know the Lounge is quieter these days, but still...

pokes about the Lounge with a stick

...I know there are lurkers out there.

And I kid you not, I will fill this thread with friendly words for fellow Literoticans on my own if I have to but...I am hoping the rest of you will stop by and do the same.

C'mon, we're a wordy lot and it's always awesome to see people being genuinely friendly about their fellow posters. Taking a moment to actually think what other people mean to them. Leaving a word or two...or a paragraph or three...just to let them know they're thought of.

It takes something special to actually think of that person and try to say something personal about them, or leave them something genuinely unique to them that you know they'll love. To let someone know they make you smile, that you admire them, is one of the best things you can ever do.

It only takes a few minutes to do but can stay with someone for so much longer.

So, go on...you know you want to!
To those who already have...YOU ROCK!! :rose:

That said....it's time to leave my own messages here I think...

For Tess

"Who am I to believe in dreams?
There is an animal inside me,
clutching fast to my heart;
Perhaps the earth is floating,
I do not know.
Perhaps the stars are little paper cutups
made by some giant scissors,
I do not know.
perhaps the moon is a frozen tear,
I do not know.
Perhaps God is only a deep voice
heard by the deaf.
I do not know. "

-Anne Sexton, from the Poet of Ignorance

You, are pure poetry darling. I find you at once strong and weak, enticing others to be both predator and prey, and your dance with words is something to behold. I adore you ever so much and find you random as fuck.

To- My Sister

My darling one,

We are as one, two pieces of one, on separate continents. I wake up to your loves and fall asleep to them everyday. Some days we are like this.. in infinite amounts of trouble with the Daddy man who finds you begging and me insolent. I push and you suffer, always with a grin, a giggle and a grimace, a grain of hope in your pleading that maybe, maybe my gift of goading will not result in gripping pain.

It usually is, though.

Other days we are here...expertly seducing a singly sexy man with searing eyes and matching hands, well, in the sting they leave behind. We are salaciously cunning in this endeavor.

And very successful.

And then there are these days... where pleasure meets pain and you are my toy.

Happy Valentines Day my darling sister. I look forward to so many more.

Love you!
Love me.
