the "ask crazychemgirl a question" thread

haha... that was supposed to say "a compound that doesn't absorb visible light.

well breaking bonds means that the compound is no longer the same compound, and therefore doesn't absorb visible light in the same way as the original compound.

That makes sense. Different compounds will have all sorts of different characteristics. But apparently the difference in light reflection tends to be in the direction of reflecting more light, hence showing less color?

Coincidentally, just a few minutes ago I ran across these statements:

"Looking at the chemistry of the rocks, the mission scientists inferred that they had formed under acidic and oxidizing conditions. The rover, they quipped, had discovered evidence not of water but of acid on Mars....

"At Cape York, the rover ground into a rock called Espérance.... 'If you go through the chemistry and infer characteristics of the water, it was mildly acidic at best and reducing, not oxidizing, and those are habitable conditions. We think this kind of environment existed many places on Mars,' [Arvidson] said."

Cool!

What outfit should a short, stacked, slightly chunky girl wear on a date to get a guy REALLY hot and bothered?

Twofer post.

A) Have you ever seen any of the Ontario caribou?

B) Very Bloody Caesar or Mimosa for the morning after beverage?

something that shows off your cleavage... I've always found them to be my best weapon. I'm partial to tank tops underneath a button up shirt so you can leave the top few buttons undone... ala Kat Dennings in "2 Broke Girls"

A) since I've never been up north in Ontario.. then no.. but probably in zoo's

B) I'm partial to Mimosa's .. they are lighter, more airy

So, have you ever fucked in a car on the side of a highway because you couldn't wait to get home?

and have you ever tried to break up a couple?

You know why I'm asking ;)
