Well I was surprised but after waiting several weeks, this was rejected by the editors:

"We do not accept photographs or photo-manipulations to our Illustrations and Erotic Comics section. Please read this FAQ for our complete guidelines: http://www.literotica.com/faq/11022303.shtml#11027065"

I am not sure what they mean by a photo-manipulation but they must have a very narrow definition. Yes, I started with a self image and used painting software and Photoshop so I supposed that is a photo-manipulation.

Any ideas/comments?

Lovely.

Good that it is your own photo.

However, they set the rules, and if they say no photos...well no photos, or manipulated photos.

That looks great. Reminds me of Joanna Cassidy in years gone by.

The thing about rules is not to take them personally.
Rules weren't written because of you, but because of someone else. They come from law suits and legal opinions and things that cost the management too much time, or money or cause too much stress.

Maybe they are only trying to foster the traditional artists in the new area, and fear that they could be lost in a sea of photoshop. Maybe they figure you belong in the AmPics section.

Don't let it get you down.

That's a great image.

I guess the rule is in place to stop the wastrells who will grab an image off the net whack a cheap filter on and claim they painted it. All it takes is for the copyright holder to find out and put pressure on lit to remove or litigate.

You could keep posting here and get Some views or post in the amateur feedback room.

I appreciate all your comments and advice. I did submit a couple of drawings and lets see what happens. But the lines between paper/canvas and digital are growing pretty big and I am not sure that they wont have to create some other category at some point.

Oh, and thanks! patient1 for the Joanna Cassidy remark. It took me a minute to remember (and Google) her image. "Blade Runner" was one of my ex-husband's favorite movies but I have to admit, I probably never paid much attention to it.
