so recently ive been really wanting to try out going to a nude beach (although being in chicago, ill have to wait for it to get warm haha), and i was wondering if anyone here had any experiences or advice to share? also any recommendations for any spots in the midwest (driving distance of chicago) would be appreciated.

I've never been personally, but form those I've talked to that have it's more about the freedom from clothing and definitely NOT about sexuality at all...I've also heard that too often many of the participants are not who you may want to see undressed...

Cherry Lane Nudist resort is in North Adams Michigan. I don't know how far that is from Chicago but I've heard some good about it.

They do have a web page with pics so you can judge if it's for you. I know I'm thinking if getting a sheer bikini and hitting Lake Michigan beaches.

I have been to Collins Beach and Rooster Rock and it is not sexual. I love the way it feels in the sun and water when I am nude. I get to be a little bit of an exhibitionist too.

Being naked in front of strangers can be a turn-on, but at a nude beach it wears off after a while. Still - it's fun. I'd say the moment you first take off your clothes it feels sexual, but after that it IS about freedom. Of course if you see an attractive person you'll feel it, same as when you're all clothed.

I have only been naked...........

At Swinger's Club's. I love being naked and seeing naked. The guys giggled at my my hard shaven cock, the girls wanted to touch it. I got giggled at quite a bit, but I got "touched" even more................

Maslin Beach here in South Australia has a Nude Olympics every year during our summer, many take part and people from all over the world participate.
Such a pity that far too many people try to connect nudism, nudity, naturism with sex but then again it is what most males it seems do.
Nudity here in Australia is no big deal at beaches but people need to be made more aware of the dangers the Aussie sun can inflict.
I myself prefer to be sun smart and cover up when outdoors which btw is about 90% of the time in our amazing climate.

Florida has around a dozen nude resorts, the most popular of which are Paradise Lakes and Caliente. There are a few clothing optional motels in Key West. The clothing optional areas are usually the pools and decks--not the entire property. There are also nude beaches, including the world famous Haulover Beach in North Miami.

Don't waste your time visiting any of them if you are expecting outdoor sex. That isn't allowed at any of these locations.

still trying to get up the nerve to try it here, although i want to so much. i enjoy freedom from clothing, so after the initial shock/curiousity wears off, i think it would be an awesome experience.

Actually, the first Olympics were conducted in the nude so why not.

There is a nude beach in WI, just outside of Madison on the Wisconsin River. It is near a small town called Mazomanie, which is about 20-30 min west of Madison (Hwy 14). The beach is called Mazomanie Beach (Mazo Beach) for short. I've never been there personally but have heard about it. It's actually made a lot of news headlines in the past year or so. The law enforcement and DNR know what happens at this beach, but recently the WI DNR said they would start cracking down on the people who are having sex on the beach (no not the drink). I haven't heard how this actual enforcement is going. They said they still would allow people to be at the beach nude, but they just can't have sex.

This is a few hours from you so it might be something you want to check out this summer. I'd definitely wait till the summer because I don't think you'd want to go anytime soon with the temperatures we have around here right now. They are predicting a high of -5/-7 on Monday (yes a high) and a high of -2/-3 on Tuesday. This has to be one of the longest/coldest winters I have ever experienced in WI and that has be 37 other winters besides this one. Our winter actually started early with the temperatures hitting negative temps already towards the end of November. I'm ready for 40-50 degree weather already (what kind of place to I live that I'm looking forward to weather just above freezing?).

appreciate all the feedback. although i am a bit of an exhibitionist and enjoy being seen, i realize that the nude beaches and resorts are non sexual and i really want to experience the freedom of no clothes. hopefully ill get a chance to visit somewhere this summer

There is a nudist resort we go to from about an hour from us in eastern NC in the summer months. Clothing optional but for the most part most people tend to go nude. Fun place with tons of activities. It is a non-sexual advertised facility but I can tell you from experience, what happens back in the cabins....well thats another story;)

I've been to Mazo Beach. The beach itself is nice enough; no services, but plenty of sand and open space and kinda scenic. And nice mellow midwestern folks. The problem is the walk from the parking lot - it is through the woods, and the one time I was there, the woods were INFESTED with mosquitoes! Man-eaters! My friends and I were eaten alive for the ten minutes it took to walk to the beach, and back again to the car. So if you go - bring some full-body cover-ups to wear while running that gauntlet!

There are a few in CO. Every hike-in hotsprings on BLM land is 'clothing optional' as are some 'resort-esque' places that charge money. There is one strictly nudist resort, featured in AANR, and a few adult hotels.

bronco20 there is resort near Grand Rapids Mi. Open year round. Turtle Creek or Pond, something like that.
Like what has been said, don't expect to all "10's" there. It's about freedom not sexual. remember to carry your towel everywhere. Over your arm, over your shoulder, just have it with you to sit on. The pools and hot tubs are usually nude all the time. At a clothing optional resort, you can be clothed everywhere except there, it your choice. Check out the web page,, www. netnude.com for the locator.

Thinking one has to come down south ... I'd be too worried about mosquitoes up there! We have yet to visit the ones in the Keys...

A group of investors tried to by a small barrier island and open up a nudist resort but the religious idiots shut them down before they could even get permits

Every now and then they have a story here about people getting arrested for swimming in the gulf nude or sunbathing behind a beach umbrella nude. We have about forty miles or so of shoreline and lots of it almost never has anyone there so I guess it just makes some folks take a chance.

Just wish the UK was warm enough and I lived nearer the sea :(

The UK IS warm enough if you are a dedicated nudist. Some swim nude on Boxing Day.

The sea is 30 yards from me, but our nearest Nudist beach is about 2 miles away. Some people don't bother to go the two miles and swim nude opposite my house.

But they are usually of an advanced age, even older than me, and the sight is NOT erotic.
