Here's something Johnny always wonders during a snowstorm:

Here in the Metro DC area, each jurisdiction has ordinances that require home owners to shovel the snow from the public sidewalk fronting their property. Usually it's within 6 hours of the end of the snow, my county (MoCo) requires it within 24 hours.

Now Johnnyville has no sidewalks, but I still wonder how the county/city can require someone to shovel a sidewalk they don't own.

What if you're on vacay? Are you supposed to have someone on call in case it snows? Or perhaps you live in the 6 hr zone and it ends snowing at 11 PM and you went to bed at 10, are you supposed to wake up super early to get your shovel on?

Pondering thoughts.

Though, to answer the question, I've never been known to complain about waking to find a woman's mouth on my cock or her already riding me, but I'm definitely more of the sleep-fucker. The way I see it, if you're sharing my bed, your body is fair game, awake or unconscious. (This probably explains why nobody comes to my slumber parties anymore.)

In England, homeowners are deterred from clearing snow from the pavement=sidewalk because of an urban myth that the homeowner can be sued by anyone who falls on the cleared area.

If the snow/ice is left untouched, anyone falling is the victim of an 'Act of God' and cannot sue.

In practice, provided the homeowner behaves reasonably in the clearance of snow and ice, being sued for damages, while possible, is unlikely to succeed.

But ambulance-chasing lawyers will tell the injured party that they can sue.

A homeowner clearing snow on their own property is covered by their home insurance, but clearing a public area is beyond the scope of that insurance.

I don't know the answers to those questions, or even if anyone has ever received a ticket for not shoveling. But every time it snows the local news people put a chart on the screen of the rules in the various jurisdictions.

That segment is usually right after the segment about all the survival equipment you should have in your car - as if walking to the 7-11 wasn't an option if stuck.

the elderly lose heat at a rate you wouldn't believe, especially if they're lightly built. a slip in the snow could easily end in a broken hip, which can be quality of life destroying. phoning for help, staying put and keeping warm is what they should be doing.

also, pushchairs don't work in deep snow. you want to try carrying two under 5 kiddies for ten minutes?
