One more cheer for uneventful.

Got my results from the routine pap smear and all is well. I was getting a bit worried because they took so long even if it was within the timeframe
Strange how the routine tests makes you worry even if there's just as much or little reason to worry at any other time.

YAY for all of the not bad news!

I will live in a treehouse someday!

I haven't gotten anything done in the last three days.

Clearly, the answer to this is to buy a new Kindle book and go to bed.

It was a pitched battle. At times I was brought to my knees. But I persevered and rose triumphant.

The rabid rabbits (aka killer dust bunnies) are vanquished!

For how long, only time will tell.

I had the pleasure of seeing one of our posters last night, in person. We've met before, but people I am here to tell you she is even more ravishing in person than in her av picture.
I can't even remember if she was wearing one of her hats or not... that kissable dazzling smile was all I could see

:cattail:

Personally, mine is; "WHAAAAaaaaah!"

Or Terry Pratchett's dwarves' cry, which translates to; "Today is a good day for someone else to die!"

I'm a lover not a fighter and would be an awkwardly tall dwarf, so if it's ok I'll jus give yours a try...

"WHAAAAaaaaah!!!!!"

I'll let you know if it works.

Thanks. :rose:

You and DVS. Again???

I like Ikea because it fills me with hope. When I see a Borfst drawer divider or a Plontz wall caddy, I have the certainty that my life is one Allen wrench away from reprieve by organization.

What can I say? I love his smile. :cattail:

I like Ikea because I have a fetish for really stupid-sounding, made up Scandinavian word salad.

Job interview on Thursday. In English. I can't remember the last time I've spoken English. Crap. But also yay!

You've got this! :rose:

Good luck, though. Not that you need it, but it can't hurt, right? :)

Thanks! I'm not exactly qualified for the job, so I'm still wondering how I landed the interview. I'm going in fairly relaxed, because a) I already have a job and b) I really don't think it's realistic for me to get that job. Looking forward to the interview though, I've never been interviewed in English before. And if I get the job, awesome, but I'm not completely desperate. :)

Now I just have to blabber in English before the interview so that I won't be completely tongue-tied then. I really wish cats could speak right now. Having a very one-sided conversation with a cat in a foreign languge feels rather bizarre. :D

Omigod ^^^^^^^^^ THIS ^^^^^^^ So much...

Some day, my house will be a beautiful mix of old sturdy furniture supplemented with the organizational possibilities of IKEA...someday!

On top of the fact that the kettle at work is broken, cue gnashing of teeth and rending of hair, I've bought some new chairs for my staff.

The technical details say that the maximum weight they will bear is 90 kg/14 stone.....so that's 80 per cent of my staff who will have to work standing up...

Popular? Not me....

Chairs with a max weight standard of 90 kg? What - were they designed for primary school students?

God, yes!
And then I always end up with a clutter of to many paper napkins, tea lights and drawer dividers that don't fit.
I keep on hoping though. Learning from experience is so overrated.

Its weird... I miss wanting to bite someone.

The oral fixation is not gone, but less nagging.

I don't miss the blood cravings.

I didn't realize the two things were so connected.

I'm a biter and once had an ex lover who wasn't too fond of how hard I would bite his neck and shoulders (and nipples, oooo he hated that!) anyway, he once had a nightmare that I bit off a big chunk of his flesh like a hungry zombie. Shortly after that we broke up. Hehehe

For anyone who might be wondering, yes, Kidney Stones DO feel very much like childbirth.

:(

The job interview went well. I don't think I'm gonna get the job, but it was definitely a positive experience!

It's a teaching/writing and translating teaching material for several languages kind of job. At one point the interviewer asked me, if I speak French. I don't, but I read some, so little that I never even mention it anywhere. The interviewer's reaction? "Well, you know X, Y and Z, so I suppose you could translate from French, too." Ooookay. That was kinda shady, but other than that the interview went great.

And for the most part I didn't completely butcher English either. :)
