......

At just under 2,000 square miles, the Municipality of Anchorage is almost the size of Delaware. The municipality stretches from Eklutna to Portage, from well out into Cook Inlet to well into the Chugach National Forest, nearly to the northern fiords of Prince William Sound. Less than one-third of the municipality is accessible by road.

Take that Andorra! Chew on that Monaco! Stick that in your pipe, San Marino!

That's not a municipality, that's a country.

I've seen sheep on the cliffs and belugas in the arm thereabouts.

Yup. We put them there for the tourists.

Had you pulled around the corner from where the sheep always are, you could have climbed the Falls Creek trail and gotten a much better view.

At least after 8, too late for Anchorage.

Piccolino's – decent food

Jalapenos – decent food

The Grape Tap – have not tried, but good reviews

Check them on the web to be sure they are open. You staying up there?

I hope not. Maybe heading back to your fine city and planting my body in a big garden tub at the Dimond Hotel. Then snuggling into a feather bed.

Gonna check those for directions and menus, thank you.

LOL......there's Mac's close to your hotel... *gack*

But there'll be starving peeps in Wasilla. I hate McDonald's, it makes me feel lousy for hours afterwards.

Gut bombs.........bad for ya.

The new place that took over Chili's in Wasilla is so-so. Called "Locals", they are right on the road and easy to get to. Also, there's Evangelo's......not bad food, and on the way back to Anchorage.

From the long range forecast, roads should be good.

I'm not fond of franchises, they pretty much just fill the void.
