From here on out I'll be flying in even greater style.
Ah, the joys of being retired while your eyesight is still adequate... if it weren't for the bloodsucking Republicans everyone would be able to live like this, LOL.

CASE: Cooler Master N600 w/ USB 3.0

FANS: Maximum Enermax 120MM Case Cooling Fans for selected case (Maximum Silent Operation) (500-1,200 RPM T.B. Silence Black Color with Red LED Twister Bearing 8-14 dBA) (with additional Anti-Vibration Fan Mounts)

CPU COOLING: Asetek 550LC 120mm Liquid Cooling CPU Cooler

MOBO: ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z AMD 990 ATX w/ UEFI Bios, ROG Connect, SupremeFX III Audio, Intel GbLAN, 4 PCIe x16, 2 PCIe x1
^^
has 8 SATA 3 slots, 4x USB 3.0 slots in the back plus 2 USB 3.0 ports internally, and 8x USB 2.0 (pfft), and 2 eSATA 6Gb/s

CPU: AMD FX-9590 Vishera 4.7GHz Socket AM3+ 220W Eight-Core Desktop Processor - Black Edition FD9590FHHKWOF
(Very new on the market, not a lot of ratings yet)

RAM: 32 GB (4x8) G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 32GB DDR3-2133 RAM

GPU: 1 x ASUS GTXTITAN-6GD5 GeForce GTX
(Will do SLI in the future if the need is justified)

PSU: Corsair AXi AX1200i 1200W PSU
(4 out of 5 eggs on Newegg but 121 ratings equals a solid record and the Seasonic, which I wanted, was persistently out of stock)

OPTICAL #1: Pioneer BDR-208DBK 15x SATA Internal BD/DVD/CD Burner
(4.5 stars on Amazon but not a lot of reviews)

OPTICAL #2: LG Black WH14NS40 14X 4MB Cache SATA BDXL Blu-ray Burner OEM
(Rated 4 out of 5 with 350 reviews on Newegg - hedging my bets, plus sharing the workload between 2 drives makes them last longer)

BOOT HDD: SAMSUNG 840 Pro Series MZ-7PD512BW 2.5" 512GB SATA III MLC (SSD)
(Would have picked the 480GB Corsair Neutron GTX SATA-III but the Samsung has fucking crazy high ratings - 5 out of 5 with 1,000+ reviews on Newegg)

DATA HDD: 2 x WD4001FAEX 3.5" WD Black (4 TB), 7200 RPM, SATA III, 64 MB Cache
^^ 5 Year Warranty and ludicrous good ratings on Amazon (1227 reviews avg 4.5 stars)

Vigor iSURF II Hard Disk Drive Cooling System

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate

Uses: GAMING!!! and storing tons of mod archives for modding new and classic games (Borderlands 1/2, Skyrim, World of Tanks, Dragon Age series, Fallout New Vegas, Oblivion, Sims 3, Neverwinter Nights 2, Morrowind, Fallout 3, etc. etc. etc.)

Literally all that CPU power is going to be thrown at Sims 3, I swear that game is a bitch to run with all the add-ons. I can't imagine what Sims 4 will be like.

and stop buying shitty games like sims 3. it just encourages them to make even shittier games. fucking pudding faces.

Why would you go for the 4.7 gig processor or is that just the first one you Googled?

Must be nice. Woopty-efing-doo.

As opposed to the 5 gig? Stability, if I understand the nerd speek about it.

Oh damn. For a moment I thought I'd found myself a new (if short) boyfriend.

Nah, the 5gig is factory clocked. Rock solid as long as you get the cooling right. It's gonna be the guts of my next build, plugged into a Sabertooth 990FX mobo.

I'm sure your cell make and lover will enjoy it!

5 ghz was not in stock yet. .3ghz isn't really gonna matter, it wasn't worth the wait.

It is one of my dreams to travel the continent in a beautified Airstream trailer.

My other dreams are to spend lots of time in hammocks and ride a unicorn!!

Do not attempt to have sex in a hammock. Trust me on this.

Oh man, it's here. I just tried Crysis 3 on this thing. It gobbled that game up for lunch at maximum settings with room left over to run Folding @Home at Medium setting.
