I was the first person I knew who had that album (I had heard "Just What I Needed" on the radio in New England that summer). My high school broke down along metal and P-Funk lines. Liking the Cars, or God forbid Blondie, was considered a sign of possible vagina ownership (this was an all-male school). Of course, by 1983 or so, it was about the one album from the era everyone did own.

Their first two albums were great. It got kind of spotty after that.

I have a long standing hatred for the productions of Mutt Lange. It all stems from him RUINING the Cars with Heartbreak City. Listen to "My Best Friend's Girl" compared to "You Might Think," I dare anyone to tell me that is an improvement!
