It is an open minded place. The purpose of my question was so that we could direct a discussion in a way that responded to your curiosity. I think that part of my confusion is that I don't always enjoy best the things that bring me to orgasm.. so was the question about preferred activity or what leads to orgasm.. or if there really is a correlation.

I would suggest that it's important to look at the research. Who funded it? Were the participants voluntary? How were they recruited?
People who are having great sex don't always feel the need to participate in research studies. Was there another medical complaint that brought the participants to the researcher? This is almost the case-in-point - you felt comfortable answering here because it's a group of sexually focused discussions. Would you expect the same responses from any group of similarly numbered people? Probably not. In that regard, the responses might not be applicable to another group.

I think many people, myself included, love to wonder about what sorts of things people like doing sexually and what the mix or percentage of people out there enjoy oral or anal or group sex or swinging, etc. There isn't much that I myself haven't or wouldn't try but then I've known others that are pretty narrow in their thinking and if it's not "good old fucking with my spouse or SO, then it's out of the question for me.?

I've found in the past that you can't guess what people are like in private by their public persona. I've known quiet mousy librarians or teachers or super proper business ladies who in private are about as kinky as they come. If you want to know about such things, there have been studied by legitimate agancies like the Masters and Johnson institute or the National Institute of Health regarding sexual practices. FWIW... A mans POV

Having had problems with premature ejaculation over the years I taught myself to satisfy women in various other ways besides intercourse.
