I'd rather use my mind to see the scenes, than to have them played out in front of me in some poorly scripted version of what they think is sexy. Having my mental faculties engaged by reading and visualizing is much more erotic to me.

They say that women prefer erotica and men prefer porn but in my case, I would take erotic over porn any day. Imagination is so much more richer than any director's depiction on screen.

Depends upon how much time I am giving myself. If I have more time, then erotica. If I need to hurry things along, then the visual excitement of porn does the trick.

If I am just imagining, then I am more likely to run through an erotic story that I've read or thought about writing, rather than re-envisioning a porn scene.

Audio. Hands down.. a well thought out piece of erotica, either read or acted out in a recording, does it every time. I can't do anything with "porn" without the sound. It's just images. Interestingly enough, it's the same with erotica. I can read it, yes, and it gets me going somewhat.. But the sound. That's what does it for me.
