Now Miss Peaches ... poor cell phone didn't mean to die. Tossing it at the bricks won't give it a charge LOL I'll fix you a cuppa of your choice, and some biscuits and gravy and we can chat at the side table and give the hairy legs on the couch the stink eye for a bit hehehe
Morning all from the once-again-frigid-midwest. Stay safe and warm, everyone!!
Such a difference in 'Lifestyle' (still seems an odd term to me) and the incest fantasy that abounds.
Daddy is not a father figure to me, never has been. Friend, mentor, lover, guide - alllll wrapped up in a lovely possessive, aggressive package.
"Yummmmmm - biscuits and gravy!" (Sitting down by the smaller table and glaring at the phone remnants adorning the hearth.) (Sighing...) "I know...really I do....but it couldn't have picked a worse time to crap out with rent due in a day or so and car payment due shortly thereafter. (Heavy sigh) If a charge could fix it that would be one thing but it's been acting up since the move and now it's gone totally psycho - won't turn on....won't turn off....and forget about texting or calling..." (Brightening noticeably) "Hmmmm, what goes well with biscuits and gravy....mimosas might be too much and hot chocolate with peppermint schnapps might be too sweet. How about a big steaming cup of Earl Grey with a shot of bourbon? How was the ham? What do you glaze it with? Just cold there or snowing again too? Gotten cold again here too and the skies have been cloudy since daybreak..."
I imply nothing by my own observations and experience. There are many little old ladies in this part of the country that call their husband 'Daddy' ... as the father of their children and long term partner. Did not include them in my observation either.

Oh, Hunny ... Wal Mart and their no contract phone? can you upgrade with minimal charge? Need a mallet to mush the rest of the pieces?
Not an Earl Grey fan ... what about English Breakfast with a dollop of southern comfort?
the ham was A-MA-Zing!!! glazed with ground ginger and clove and dark brown sugar and spicy brown mustard. we are having sammiches for lunch. Just cold .. supposed to have more ice on Monday - LeSigh.
More gravy? <<Peaches>>

that wasn't as hard to find as I though.I had what I thought was a very good description of the Daddy dynamic at one point. I think it's on the old thread, though. Who's better at searching than me?
(Holding out my cup for more of the English Breakfast and southern comfort) "Mmmmmm, that's really good - thank you! And yes, just a little more gravy. (Frowning thoughtfully) Yes, WalMart is certainly one option - or Boost mobile is local and a lot of people seem to have that. Can't upgrade - well maybe I could but there is no Cricket store within about 100 miles so I can't find out if I need a new phone or just a battery or... (Sighing and then grinning) I thought I might just stomp the last pieces into splinters but a mallet might provide catharsis too. Your ham sounds WONDERFUL. How are your critters holding up this winter? Seems colder and snowier than usual here but Farmer's Almanac says it may get worse before it gets better..."
(Stomping into the Great Room and throwing my dead cell phone at the fireplace....hard!) "Hmmmm, where were we.....OH....incite you to????? What specifically Daddy John?" (Batting my eyes at you in mock innocence)

The critters are all doing very well!! We put two bales out for the horses yesterday, so we can have all manner of bad weather now and I won't worry about themDogs and cats have plenty of kibble
(pours the tea and a heavy splash of SC, ladles gravy heavy with sausage and black pepper)
So nice to chit chat and relax ...
Very nicely put, RA!
And I don't know about anyone else, but I am really enjoying the tea and biscuits and gravy coffee klatch thing that's going on...so adorable!![]()
(Settling back and taking in the sights and smells of the wonderful food and listening to Peaches vent about her phone and the debate about "Daddies")
(Jerking awake at the sound of the crashing phone and the foot stomping and offering quietly with a mock evil grin) Peaches you know perfectly well what you have incited this daddy to do in the past, why would you think that any of that had changed just because I was away for a while![]()
"Excellent. I stopped this morning and picked up more canned cat food and litter myself. They're saying we could start getting the white stuff as early as tonight. (Looking around) It IS nice - we haven't done this in FAR too long. (Looking at the fireplace and giggling) I don't suppose the phone shards would work for kindling???"
"Yes, our sister RA has a definite way with words! As for the rest - it's a shame that 'adorable' isn't marketable unless you're a puppy or kitten. (Grinning at DD) We DO do adorable pretty well!"![]()

"Oh GOODIE!" (Appearing slightly fuzzy eyed from the 'doses' of tea and southern comfort) "We haven't had a 'show and tell' around here in......too damn long 'fer sher'. I mean darn.....too DARN long.....'fer sher'!" (Giggling as I recall some of the finer moments...)

Ummmm ... no. no plastic in the fire. Tooooo stinky LOL
And yes, we are very adorable. And grand company. And good cooks.
It may not be marketable, but it is giving me distinct qualities to look for in a babygirl.![]()
(Chuckling at the effect that the comfort is having on Peaches and giving her a wink as I see the light of recognition go off in her eyes) Indeed Peaches, maybe we will have to do another show and tell sometime soon.
"Hot damn...I mean darn." (Grinning and dimpling at Daddy John...knowing that spanking I'll be getting for cussing will be a fine prelude to....)
I must admit I am also enjoying the table talk, it has been a long time since I got to see that as well (rising up from the couch and heading into the kitchen area looking at DD and Peaches as I stand by the teapot) May I steal some tea, it sounds delicious and kudos to you both SC is my fav drink of choice, lovely taste in alcohol.

*passes on the tea and grabs a ginger ale instead, looks around for a lap to sit in*
