attachments in PM's

I'm trying to attach a word file to a PM. The box for a new message does not have the "manage attachments" interface like posting on a thread does.

Is it just me? How do others attach word files to a Private Message?

No can do. Last I've checked, you cannot. Either copy and paste your attachment or send it through email.

rename the file .jpg but tell the person at the other end to save it to their machine and rename it back to whatever it should be.

I have never tried it here but I have done it on other forums and it works there.

You still won't be able to attach it to a Private Message.

The only way to transfer a file with a Private Message is to upload it to an online host and then link the URL.

Hate to show how much I really don't know about this shit! Even though I joined long ago... that was a generation ago, before all this new-fangled hooplah about clouds and seas and other oceanographic anomalies.

What I have in front of me is a very expensive typewriter and calculator (to balance my checkbook - remember checks?) The fact that others can send me messages adds a telephonic attitude, but doesn't replace me as an individual...

Any location that is accessible by Literotica 24 hours a day, even when your computer is shut off. Your ISP may offer some online storage space as part of your internet service, or there are tons of free image/data hosting sites on the Web.
